IMO 760HP should be enough to outperform the Hellcat/Demon despite its 800+ HP rating. IIRC the Hellcat/Demon has a distinct weight disadvantage at 4,200 lbs compared with the curb weight of the current 2019 GT at approx 3800 lbs, so it'll be interesting to see when both go head to head to find out which performs quicker over the other lol.

The GT500 will probably weigh a good bit more than a GT. And also, the new GT500 should have had a manual option.

The HP wars have gone beyond ridiculous, and I think only people who have a racing licence should be allowed to drive them. Otherwise they'll just be added to the long list of driving fails we see so often in YouTube with idiot drivers who just can't handle them.
I'm sure Ford could have eked out even more than 760hp but that's already enough to beat the Corvette ZR1's 755hp. No doubt there'll be a Super Snake version in the near future that'll put out ~850hp and outmuscle the 840hp Dodge Demon.

I am shocked they went DCT. I had read that rumor, but when the car seemingly got delayed I thought it was because they were going back to A10 and 6M

From what I have heard through Ford connections is they wet Supercharger over Turbo because that is what the Shelby has always been. They also did not want to step on the Ford GT Performance aspect. The Turbos obviously work though. I am sure it is only a matter of time until someone does a compound boost set up.

Every engine has more and gets tamed down for EPA reasons and also to leave room for power updates.

What rear + front tires did Ford end up using ? Bugatti Veyron uses a 365 mm rear tire.
Buddy in CT bought a used 2016 Charger...with the 707 crank hp eng...+ 8 speed auto. Comes with 275mm rears. Zero traction. Blow on the gas pedal on the hwy... and the back end is all over the map. Death trap.

On a side note, buddy in CT sez the dodge demon requires race gas.

On a similar note, Skwerl managed 699 rwhp / 704 rwtq, on his 09 bullitt, using a VMP TVS-1900, and built motor....and torco / race gas. But his MT 275's hardened up after 2-3 months..... then the accident.
