I recently bought a second hand sct tuner for my car and whenever I put the preloaded 93 octane tune on it, it throws the wrench light and puts my car into limp mode. when I check the codes it says its a p060c and a p2106. I have no idea where to start on trying to fix the issue because when I revert the car back to stock all of the codes go away and the car drives great.

Is the SCT tuner married to your car?
You could have a corrupted preloaded tune. I suggest you contact Brenspeed and request an email tune for your car. Just provide them with details of your mods and they'll send you a new tuning file that you can upload to your tuner.

Well...I'm sure you know tuners are "married" to a vehicle (VIN locked), upon initial connection. In you case, with these codes, it seems like the tuner's not mated to your car:

- P060c: Internal Control Module Main Processor Performance - means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a main processor performance error.
- P2106: Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power (AKA = limp mode)

You need to pay to unlock the tuner & then marry it to your vehicle. Here are some links to assist:

Huh? SCT tuner will not flash a car if it is not married to it. It will display a message along the lines of "wrong vehicle" and not load the tune.
The processor performance code I have seen, it is a concern but will not cause a wrench light. (I got this code trying the canned tunes.)

So on to the real issue, the wrench light/limp mode. Normally, this means a bad TB, but since restoring to stock clears it, the TB is likely fine. And it also indicates the tuner IS married to the car.

I would suspect a corrupt tune or the tune was written for a different processor strategy. If strategy check is disabled, SCT will flash the pcm with a different strategh.

The tuner is unmarried when I check on the device, I’m guessing it is something with the processor strategy or just a corrupted tune. I got an email back from sct asking for info on the tuner and my car. Once I hear back from them I’ll send an update on my situation.

Not trying to be flippant here, but .... you may just want to revert to stock for the time being and keep it that way until you can figure out the SCT programming issue. I had to send mine back to SCT to get reflashed when it wouldn't marry to my car. Cost me $150 at the time but well worth it as I've has no problems since. Once you do get it back and it works Never update it. Several stories out there where software updates have bricked the tuner.

...and MOST of the updates will be ALL the canned tunes for ALL makes supported. Wasted like 2 hours updating the x4 when I first got it... What you actually may need, (firmware, tunes specific to your strategy) would only take maybe a few seconds.
