Definitely not "the rage". More like "the stupid".
For the same guy whose other vehicle is a Carolina-Squat pickup truck

To add this was a Base with 235/50/18's at 27.3 inches tall. The 245/45/19s are fatter then that and are also 27.7 inches tall. The same as on California Specials.

After talking to my installer, he uses a $60 all car brands TPMS. He said he just puts in the VIN number and the TPMS is good to go. Although he also said I can use the $25 Schrader TPMS from RockAuto if I wish.

I got all four metal ITM valve stem TPMS for like $120 bucks and they seem pretty good quality. I wanted metal valve stems over rubber. My GT500 wheels had the band style with no issues but my car doesn’t have many miles either.

I did not realize there was such as a thing of a universal TPMS sensor that can be used on all cars and is programmed by input of the VIN number. My Installer said he keeps only these in stock.

Seems like less could go wrong if you order vehicle specific parts as I’ve never had good luck with most “universal” parts.

To make people feel better about these cheap Achilles 245 45 19 tires, both Amazon and Walmart has sold out of the $75 versions and now they are about $125 each for the places that still have them.

It doesn’t make me feel better about them besides that fact that you’re gonna be driving the car and not me. I put some Chinese tires on my econobox beater and never take it out of town. No way I’d trust them on my Shelby.

Achilles tires are not Chinese and it's true, I never take the Mustang out of town. At 2000 or so miles a year, it's kind of a garage queen. Although it never sits more then 15 days or so as I do drive it all year around. When it does sit, it sits in a heated and air conditioned garage. I know what happens when you let a car sit.

Hope they work out for you. I just know I wouldn’t be trusting my 75+ mph speed limits on cheap tires (they may be decent quality).

They seem to be way more expensive this week. They are rated W. Then it does say 245 45 ZR19.

I have the Schrader from Rockauto for my winter wheels. Got them a couple months ago as I was getting new rims and new winter tires. Worked flawlessly and no issues whatsoever. No delay when using the reset tool.

I have OEM in both sets of wheels(summer/winter). Swapping wheels twice a year is seamless with no TPMS action required. I only get a warning light occasionally in the middle/late fall when pressures drop a little along with the temperature.

Achilles tires are a great performance tire. I have had them up to 140+ multiple times. Also they a tire made in Jakarta and the USA. My tires were made in Indonesia.

So I ordered four cheap Chinese TPMS sensors on EBay from NJ for $30 yesterday and two Schraders from RockAuto today for $50. Let see which ones get here first. Let also see if the cheap ones work. In any event, I am sure I am covered. With the snow, the Mustang will just sit for now in a nice heated garage.

All TPMS does is make little old ladies and soccer moms shit their pants when the light comes on. They freak out and it's got to be fixed NOW!!!!

The system really aught to just say "Check your tire pressures" instead of an exclamation point that implies major problems.

Luckily the newer cars show the tire pressures

They do? Newest car I have is my DD '13 Focus (super cheap to own and operate for commuting). It just has the waring indicator. My wife's 2019 Honda van doesn't give the psi details.
