Got my driver side front control arm done finally. I did the passenger first since it was the one that had actually gone bad but being my first time doing them it took a little longer, this time with the process figured out it went infinitely quicker. Gonna get the alignment dialed in and then hopefully it’ll be back to not driving like shit!

Thats good. I sure hope you did your tie rods when you were in there. I have a full bmr suspension and tracked down a steering wheel shake for a month. I got the UPR or whatever they're called and been fine ever since. (Using gt50p control arms by the way)

Thats good. I sure hope you did your tie rods when you were in there. I have a full bmr suspension and tracked down a steering wheel shake for a month. I got the UPR or whatever they're called and been fine ever since. (Using gt50p control arms by the way)

Funny you mention it, I didn’t. I had seen that one control arm had some bad play in the ball joint so I just did those, turns out there’s still the faintest wheel shake. It’s night and day different but tie-rods will definitely be coming soon!

Finished putting the exhaust back together. Factory manifolds/cats/H-pipe, the H-pipe modded a while ago so it's the same diameter the whole way through, Lethal Performance over-axle pipes, and still the old-reliable '11-'12 SVT mufflers.
Love the sound.

Also installed a new Boss302 25mm rear sway bar with pre-installed new stabilizer links. Quieter, a little firmer-feeling ass. All good

The bad: the upper center diff bushing is showing some cracks, gonna have to attack that at some point.
Did the one in my wife's GT500 last year. Didn't suck as much as some made it out.
I'm still not looking forward to it.

But, after all that work, did a quick test drive and it felt great and sounded good

Then I finally took a picture of the fleet all together.

Bolted up some GT500 rims with 275/40 General RS's; trained TPMS; and reset speedometer from the former 28+" to 26.7. 1919 rpm @60; 2558 @80. Stops, turns, and goes way better now!

Are you running 275/40's square in all 4 corners?

I just looked up what I got. I got the OPR inner and outer tie rods from American Muscle. Make sure you do both!

Installed a Moroso expansion tank with built in catch can. Took 5 weeks to get the darn thing. Maybe I should paint it red.

With the E-force SC a roadside replacement would be impossible if it ever broke, so I proactively replace the belt every year. Then I replaced a leaking crankshaft position sensor. Finally, after a six week wait, the rear Wilwood brakes were delivered. Had to pull rear axles for the install, so I replaced bearings and seals.
It took a bit of adjustment to get the calipers in just right. I have an early 05 model and it seems there are a little discrepancies compared with most units as I had a unique fitment problem when I did the fronts. Kit requires new parking brake cables. I had to replace the drivers side cable anyway since it was broken. It also appears that the drivers side caliper was not working and was rusted up. No wonder the car didn’t want to stop at the track! Ran out of energy for today, it sucks getting old. Tomorrow I have to adjust parking brake and I’ll do the relearn procedure for the sensor and bed in the brakes. If it’s not raining.

. The parking brake cables were easy. It’s the safety wire that sucks. This photo is actually my front rotor. The rear ones had a raised lip on the inside, so the bolts were recessed by 3/4”. 3.5 hours to do two rotors and my hands were starting to cramp up.
Safety wire sucks!!!

I passed on the safety wire. I figured clean threads, red loctite, oughta hold. I know wiring them is absolutely the best way to go, but I just couldn't do it.

You’re probably right about the Loctite Red and proper prep. I know some other brands of floating rotors don’t use the wire and reply just on the thread locker.

I passed on the safety wire. I figured clean threads, red loctite, oughta hold. I know wiring them is absolutely the best way to go, but I just couldn't do it.

Mark the head of the bolt(s) with a paint pencil. Then you can tell if it’s moved over time with out putting a wrench on it.

Got Flatstoppers for my drag radials a little while ago. Drivers side I can just open door and reach down and move it after driving off it (to get it out of the way of front tire). Pass side I had to get out and walk to other side of car to move each time. So I made an auto removal "tool".
