Does it retain the factory cruise control and speedometer?
It is a self contained harness, you connect the two canbus wires and your cluster will work as long as you use a gen1 pcm. Speedo will not work w/gen2&3.(Speedo works over the CAN).
Cruise can work, cc switch resistances vary between gen 1 and 05-09 calibrations, if you can sort that, cruise should work.
Will need PATS delete done on the pcm to be emission compliant. You can run the Crate_6 control pack strategy, not emission compliant but does not need PATS delete.

I just realized, if you want cruise to work, you need to hook up the two wires for the cc switch. Or cruise will definitely NOT work.

I thought the control pack strategy couldn't run cruise?

Are there only two wires coming from the wheel for cruise?

Ford told me the control pack did not support cruise. They were wrong, cruise can be enabled, but trans gearing must be entered or the pcm disables cruise. Control pack uses the 05-09 steering wheel control resistance values, its plug and play. You need to enable cruise in the VID block. And I did that with IDS, Forscan could not do it.
Ford told me control pack strategy wasnt emission compliant as they disabled OBD 2 items. This is somewhat wrong also. Monitors can be enabled. And they forgot to disable p0460 code, and it will throw the CEL.
You need a competent coyote tuner, or buy the SCT software.
If you send me your x4, I may be able to set you up with a base file.

Purchased a PBH harness for a 2006 V6 Coyote swap.
Does anyone have photos and tips on how to route the harness, particularly through the firewall? Also where specifically to splice all the non-connector open wires?

No idea on the PBH installation, I just used the stock 5.0 harness and PCM and wired it up using the ford wiring diagrams. (C175b connector repin)
So you get no install instructions from the manufacturer/seller?

All wires are labeled, but there are no real instructions for the $1k harness install.
I did try speaking with PBH, but didn’t get any further than a sales pitch and down talking the Ford Racing system. I may just take a 20 minute ride over to them next week.
Our issue was that the 2005-2006 body harness connects in the engine compartment while the newer harness connects in the cockpit. Also, the newer body harnesses will not reach the ABS controller since it is position differently.

Thank you! If I have an OEM Coyote PCM, can I flash the control pack strategy in it? I also have an X4 already too.

Is this the Advantage III software? I'm considering buying it

Yes, that is how my tuner got around PATS, using the Crate_6 control pack strategy.
