They had a scale set up at the track last night, so I got a chance to get my car weighed in track trim. It weighed in at 3547 pounds w/o driver. As I figured, it's just under 3800lbs with my 238lb butt in it.

It also seems to be a little front heavy... 54.9% front, 45.1% rear. The breakdown per wheel was:

LF=983, RF = 963
LR = 804, RR = 797

Not bad... but isnt the normal stock weight the same ? ... bro your car is wicked fast.. i've seen vids.. but u should consider a k-member and arms along with the radiator support and frnt swaybar delete.. this will really lift ur front end... unless u already have them..

Don thats not bad considering the weight of your supercharger...also do you have an aluminum block or did you switch to the iron block?
mine came in at 3320 w/o me and that was with the front seats out and one race seat in, no spare,AJE k-member/a-arms, strange struts with coilovers, sway bar delete lightweight rad support and of course a spydershaft.
I've been looking at ways to really lighten the car up but keep it as stock appearing as possible. My conclusion is I need to backhalf the car( cut out everything from the firewall back and build from scratch) and make a chassis that retains all the factory mounts for suspension and undercar components( gas tank fuel lines etc.). It's not too bad of a job and I've done it before but not trying to utilize so much of the stock components but if I can get it 800-1000 lbs. lighter then I think it's worth it. also i would have the benefit of being able to run whatever size wheel and tire combo i wished and adding a roll cage.
It would be cool to run low 11's with the stock longblock n/a with my auto huh? especially if nobody could tell that there was any major suspension stuff done.

The guy who weighed mine said the stock S197s he's weighed usually run 3700. I've already swapped out the K-member and have the tubular rad support/swaybar delete. Still stock A-arms, springs and struts. This is also with the front skinnies on.

I have a Teksid aluminum block, and an aluminum DS, too. My stock interior is still all there, plus I've added the roll bar. The other weight addition is the larger I/C reservoir, located where the factory airbox was.

Maybe its time to move the batt to the trunk to balance out the weight on the rear

Yep Stanley - join the fat pig club....:beerdrink:

This is why I'm doing the weight shaving now too. I'm looking at seats now to shave another 100 lbs. The factory seats are ridculously heavy. Didn't realize it till they were out for the roll bar and I picked them up...:thud:

Have you tried putting the back seat down and letting the air out of your spare "tyre"?:samuri:

This may be a dumb question, but why is the left heavier than the right side?
I would assume that the steering column, pedals and maybe the dash, as well as driver's seat and safety harness contribute to it. And the larger I/C reservoir I have is located where the stock airbox was (there must be 20 lbs of water in it alone). Altogether, these may add up to 27 pounds more than the battery. Oh, and there is just a little more metal in the roll bar on the left side, too.

There's the brake fluid deposit also on the left, and the ABS block and lines...and do you have an air/oil separator?

Didn't even think about that. Thanks.

Don't forget the box full of donuts on the driver side on the dash !.
