So I have a 2013 3.7L premium and going back a couple weeks ago my gauges would stop working along with service advance trac, check charging system, service abs aswell as the oil pressure light, CEL, wrench light. Basically the whole damn Christmas tree was lit up. Well I was driving it back and forth to work and one day I go to start it and the pats light starts blinking and wouldn't let the car start. I have no idea what's wrong with it and some advice would be majorly appreciated. Thanks

I forgot to mention it has codes u0155-00/u0154-00 and the code for no communication with abs (forgot exact code)

Check your grounds.... If you can get it running check running voltage across the battery. If less than 14.5 vdc check/clean your grounds. The main ones are on the passenger strut tower, underneath the passenger motor mount and the braided ground strap on the firewall. Loss of good continuity or resistance in the grounds will manifest as all kinds of weird phenomena. If you can't get it running cleaning grounds is a good troubleshooting step.

Well after a couple weeks I got a little more info. If you hold the wires going into the ipc connector in the right spot it'll fix everything. My question now, is it a pin in the connector or is it a frayed wire somewhere close that's hard to find

You're running voltage is okay.

From your description could be a possible intermittent short or break/open in the wiring or one or more connector pins are not making good contact. At least you know what connector to start at.

I'd begin by looking up the offending connector/circuit/wiring diagram. After you know where you're working inspect the connector/s and harness for obvious signs of damage (cracks/bent pins/solder joints). Next, strip the covering/tape off of the suspect harness from the connector back several inches to check along the length for fraying/bends/missing insulation. You may have to de-pin the connector to inspect it properly. If you do, only de-pin one side at a time so you don't lose track of pin/wire locations.

You may need to bend/pull individual wires while it's running to identify the culprit. A friend helps in this situation.

Do you have a VOM? If so check connectivity (ohms) of each wire from the connector to the other end if possible. You might try electrical contact cleaner as well.

Once you nail it down let us know what the issue was.

Does anyone have a pinout diagram from the IPC connector. I'm having an awfully hard time finding one

Finally solved. On the other side of the connector housing on the cluster motherboard the solder on pin 13 had cracked and stopped communicating. With a dab of solder and some prayers everything was fixed
