Dyno tomorrow, isn't that ChevyKiller speak for Monday or Tuesday, damn California time differences, I'll never understand it. Congrats on the build Mark, looking forward for some video of it running down the track.

LOL - who the hell knows. It is already 2 MONTHS longer than I thought...:omfg:
But, every time I see the car in person, I realize instantly that this isn't a 'throw a blower kit on the car' kind of job and this level of work just takes time. Barring the motor blowing up on the dyno, I will be going down the track in vegas next friday night so that is good enough for me...

Mark I was going over your build and the time frame. Seems like once the parts arrived things moved along fast.

Jan. 30- Started pulling inside apart and pull motor out

Feb. 10- Turbo parts started arriving

Mar. 16- Started building headers <-- this is actually when the turbo build started

April 20- Trans finally arrived to start on hot side

April 21- Up pipes done

April 23- Cold side in fender done

April 24- Down pipes started

April 27- Cold side on turbos done along with BOV

I know right now the up pipes are off the car to weld on the wastegates. Then I think all thats left for the turbo kit is the pipe from the intercooler to TB then off to the coaters.

Of course the motor needs to be pulled out, then assembled with your new heads and re-installed. Cage needs to be done correctly, rear end back from Curry, and everything put back together.

Still the best post in this thread :beerchug2: lol Mar. 16 is when the turbo build really began. Not even a full 3 mo. later it just about there. How long did your 3.4 Whipple swap take?

touchy... :kidding:

You just happened to forget the quote above the pic when you snatched it... selective amnesia...lol The pic specifically said 'just finishing up' the ties are great for mocking but there isn't any garbage on the finished product...

I know the guys have been working almost non stop on your car. Went by Greg's late last night and they had the master cylinder off doing something to it. He took his guys out to dinner and they were going back in this morning. Must be nice to get him to come in on a Sat., he hates that lol :omfg: Thats the 2nd Sat. in a row!

We definitely miss the track... but it's just not happening for us anytime soon. Life is just waaaaaaaaay to crazy right now... you have no idea. Not to mention my 5R55S is essentially toast. It slips bad in 1st gear, and hardly wants to move from a dead stop. I have it parked in my garage until I can get a 4R70W in it. And I have no idea when that might be. It's just not a priority for us at the moment (I can't believe I just typed that. :thud:).

But, once we get into fall/winter, we hope to be hittin' the strip on a regular basis again! Keeping our fingers crossed, anyway. In the meantime, I want to see vids of yours running!

Greg has been doing an awesome job and working his ass off. The issues I have are 100% the things that is out of his hands and rely on other shops/people - I seem to be getting screwed every which way to sunday from everybody else...

The DS has pissed me off royally. 4 days for a fucking DS...:321: The company came to the shop and measured, delivered it 4" too long, measured again, delivered 3" too long and is on number 4 try right now for monday. It's a fucking steel DS?!?... come on?:thud:

And for anyone wanting to do a complete brake swap - let me give you a BIG piece of advice right now - DO NOT DRAIN YOUR SYSTEM COMPLETELY. The damn S197's master cylinder has no friggin' bleeder valve - why, I have no fucking clue as every other model mustang does. You have to take the master cylinder out and do it on a bench. Ridiculous...:omfg:

The most frustrating part of this build is the little shit. The damn rack, steering column, and brakes were by far the most PIA part of this build and made the turbo system seem easy. If I had to do it again, I would have left the stock power steering set-up and said fuck the manual rack - major PIA...:omfg:

I'm so ready for this project to end...:thud:
