Worked out all the bugs on the shortblock and she's primed and dropped in. I had an extra set of HT0s laying around from the old blower. They were gapped at .35 but I regapped them to .32. I will be breaking in the motor this week and starting the nitrous probably in a week or 2. Starting at 75 shot and working my way up to a 200 shot. Changing the ignition retard and tune as I go. My question is this. Should I goto a 2 step colder plug when I get above a 150 shot. The other question being is the .32 gap ok??

ya 32 gapped youll be fine with a 75-100 shot, and yes id recommend you go a step or 2 colder anything above a 150 and gapp at 30. and imo just to be extra safe id put a couple of gallons of 103-104 octane race fuel ..

At 200 shot - I'd go a .030 gap on the 2 colder plug range plugs. Id' also upgrade all your coil wiring to 14 gauge. If your compression is going to be over 10:1 - I'd also go C16 for fuel on a 200 shot as well.

Yea im gonna go with Brisk 2 range colder plugs. Its a 10.5 compression iron block. Before i go over a 150 shot ill be going to a different head setup. Right now im just running a brand new pair of ford 3v valve heads with SPR stage 3 #127600,HL beehives,SS valves & titty retainers. Im just ready to get up and running this week. 2 week max on break in... or until new DS and DS loop are in. Shooting for low 10's on nitrous only! If i dont blow it up first.

My bet is you are going to be really spinning that thing and I would highly recommend you go with Jesel solid tappets/followers. Yep - it's going to cost about $2500 or so but it is WELL WORTH IT - trust me. Search around the forums and see how many engine failures result around the valve train. What a lot of guys don't realize is the the stock tappets/followers are what 99.9% of all the aftermarket head companies use no matter what 'stage' you get and your heads are only as good as the weakest link and I am convinced the stock tappets/followers are indeed a 'weak link' - especially for those spinning their cars. I would not trust a head set-up spinning over 7K without them personally. (Jesel)
