UHG!!! That doesn't sound good at all! A friend of mine is suppose to bring his scanner over Friday so we can figure out what codes were tossed out. I don't have the rough idle cams and this doesn't happen in stop and go traffic like some other guys mentioned. Crossing my fingers it's something simple. Will contact Brenspeed again too just to double check with them based off some other info you guys posted on here.
Hope I'm not buying a new trans anytime soon!!!
Thanks,
Brandon
Doug fixed mine, it has to do with cars with CAMS, for some reason at slow speeds when the cars momentum is moving forward there is a sensor that detects the converter turning faster than the engine. this will give you the flashing OD light. My trans was a new 2008 when it did this, I somtimes got a P0745 CEL. I thought too that is was a trans failure but it turned out to be a tuning issue.
Good Luck

Doug fixed mine also - it was tune related.
so which cams do you have?
I have Comp 127200 NSR
does the OD light come on when you coast, like in traffic or down a hill? if thats when you notice it then it's the sensor
causing the issue. I would shut the car off and restart it, the light would go away, then 5 min lator bam there it is again..
I do not remember the setting that needs to be changed but it's set to sensitive.

But after talking to Doug and getting the corrected tune from him, both issues went away.. he saus it's nothing wrong with the trans it's all in the tune and can be corrected. I do not remember the setting that needs to be changed in the tune. I would ask Doug, he has a Fix for it.
When I had my Hotrod cams put in I had a Bama tune (race) and got the O/D/ light flashing in stop and go traffic and sometimes coasting. I had Doug send me several tunes and same thing, light would flash. Then a member of this forum sent me a PM and had a fix, if I remember correctly he either knew or knew a Ford tech that was able to figure it out. He had a car (Auto) to use as a test vehicle that was doing this same thing after installing these cams. Well this member then contacted Matt (no longer with Doug) and shared the info. Matt sent me a new tune and no more light. Since then I have had this member send me a tune (purchased) and I have had 5 revisions from datalogs and fine tuning plus I added delete plates. The car is much more of a beast then when it had Dougs race tune. I bought this tune off of this member because it was at the point that Doug was going thru all his troubles and I was tired of waiting weeks for responces thru either calling or emailing him. I will not mention this member but will PM you who it is. Now from what I understand manual cars do not have any of these problems with the Hotrod cams from what the original installer of mine told me.
