I currently have a procharger and during the dynotune I started to run a little lean, and have supposedly maxed out my stock pump with boost a pump. So I am looking for a cheap way to get just a little extra fuel to stay on the safe side if anyone knows anyway. If you have anything shoot me an email, I will respond within the same day. [email protected]

Thanks!

Well depending on how much power you are making... you could go with the FRPP GT Dual Fuel Pump Kit... It is made for over 400 hp. It was basically in the 07-09 SVT Cobras. It is the M-9407-GT05. It would be $700 shipped.

You would be in pretty good shape I would think with that combo. If you need any help, give me a call or email!

Get a single 255 lph svt focus or ford gt pump for $125 and swap it place of the stock 88 lph pump.

Are they a direct plug and play from the stock pump? I am only at 456rwhp. Just want to keep it on the safe side.

Your best bang for the buck will be the frpp gt500 twin fuel pump kit. I'll pm you a price tomorrow.

Thanks,
Aj

I can understand your trying to sell a part, but it is def not the best bang for the buck or even applicable to his setup this is pretty lame...

Lightblade, in reality I am not only trying to sell a part but rather giving feedback from an experienced individuals POV. I too have been in his position, and ask the same question he is asking. Long story short alot of very knowledgable individuals pointed me to the gt500 pump for various reasons.

1. It is a direct drop in OE unit, plug and play so they say.
2. A breeze to tune as the fpdm's that come in the kit are made to work directly with the pumps.
3. They flow safely up to 650whp and beyond
4. If one pump fails you have a second one to back you up.

So with your route (as I also looked into this)

1. The tuner (depending on experience) may have a more difficult time tuning it (as told to me by the tuners themselves - not hear say). Which leads to either a somewhat sloppy tune or higher costs for extended time in tuning.
2. At those HP levels if that one pump drop efficiency even in the slightest, since it is the only pump carrying the load, you run the risk of a lean condition which may damage the motor.

We spend alot of time and money on this hobby, and I would hate to see someone grenade their motor. There is a reason Ford puts twin pumps in the gt500, it is not to save cost's, rather it is for SAFETY which is what the OP is looking for.

With FI the LAST thing you should skimp on is the fuel system. To the OP, if you opt the gt500 fuel pump route.. some ppl often sell them used is the 350-500 range depending on use.

Thanks,
Aj

I hear ya man not trying to bust your balls, but the way you came off in your orignal post was a little poorly done.

The op isnt't trying to up the power, and is currently running the stock pump with a bap, and best bang for the buck is to spend $100 and swap right in place of the stocker a tried and proven ford gt/svt pump. His tune is already there just needs a little more fuel to keep it safe.

Yes a gt500 setup would swap in just fine, is it over kill? yes. Is it best bang for the buck? definetly not imho.

The only problem with this pissing match is that the O/P never actually stated how much power he's making.

In that case I wouldn't do a single pump. Too close to the threshold of needing a second pump.

He's at 456 whp.

(saw it in another post)

Wow alot of posts! Yes I am makin 456rwhp. I was told I am pretty much maxed out on the pump/boost a pump. I am hoping to get a hold of a gt500 pump hat setup from a buddy of mine with an extra FPDM but now I need a harness. I remember a writeup on how to wire it yourself but I cant find it... anyone help me out?
