So i just finished searching for an actual spark plug change interval and i havent found anything concrete.

i found several threads discussing the procedures and what not and ive seen anywhere from 2k miles to 70k mile changes.

so my car just rolled over 30, 400 miles...is it time to pull my plugs? Or is the reason that people just go ahead and pull them is to add some anti-seize to the threads? if i pull them i will just go ahead and put fresh ones in there, but i was just curious now that my car has this many miles on it.

go get your owners manual and flip through the maintanence section...

BUT the anti-seize thing is surely something to do right away...

right...thats what i was attempting to allude to (and seemed to have failed)...it would appear that pulling the plugs to add some anti-seize is something that has no time frame...other than sooner is better than later.

:thumb: I did mine BUT I did not do the wifes! she just rolled 37,000. I am getting that feeling that I better get in there more and more every day. She has the extended Ford warranty BUT I don't know if they would do this for free if it went south. If I "knew" I would just have her schedule a "plug change".

If your 08 has the redesign heads/different plugs you dont have to worry about this issue.

Even if they break the plug off, I believe they charge you to remove them since plugs are considered maintanence.

This is what I have been lead to believe too! I changed my plugs with 60K+ miles on my car - no issues in removing them, plenty of treads here on how to remove them.

And after both of you used Steen Racing you had no idea what you had, LOL! For all you knew you had each others engines/trannies!

My car's at 29k and I plan on swapping it out with Brisk plugs shortly. More of a preventative thing plus when I get my cams and delete plates + dyno tune in beginning of May, I want the new plugs in for that.

Same here. You would think there would be some sort of policy the dealers would all follow and it would be the same everywhere. But it isn't.
