Havent seen that before, thats good to know. But wouldnet be better to just cut off the 38 flanges and weld on the 44mm. Wont the 38 size still be there with the adaptors to slightly bottleneck flow?

Yes , its a waste of money to get a v44 and try and make it fit with an adaptor or not on a 38mm opening.
That happened to me . You need to cut out the proper size hole and weld a new flange.

Well goodie for you. All I need to do is look at that pile of crap and I can see several things that I simply would not want on my car. Period.

2 1/2" thick intercooler? Seriously? Please.

You need injectors, MAF, B.A.P., and an air filter to complete the installation? Shouldn't that fucker at least come with injectors and an air filter?

If one of your upgrades is a Master Power turbo then just how big of a piece of shit is the standard turbo?

Relocate the power steering reservoir? Relocate the sway bar?

Now let's look at these pics......

Nothing like a pile of low hanging pipes all over the bottom of the car.

The phrase "Clusterfuck" comes to mind.

I see your pipes.....naughty naughty.

More pics of low-hanging shit.

Bottom line: Too much shit hanging too low, piss-poor design compromised in the name of low buck sales, and chickenshit components. Next you'll say, but what if I upgrade the turbo, blow off valve, etc, etc, etc.......if you bought a good kit to begin with you wouldn't have to bother. While you may say I have some bias involved in my comments I will refer you to the degree in mechanical engineering I have. I know junk shit when I see it.

+1... I gotta agree with this guy, that looks like a complete mess and a nightmare to install. just my :2cents:

Okay so i need a piece of 3" straight pipe to finish the plumbing from the intercooler to maf. I found steel and aluminum 3" piping for aroud $20-25 per foot. Also need a maf mount which sell for $35-45 and then i would have to pay to get it welded onto the pipe.

So i found this at VMP for $99, It would work perfect, what ya think?

thought about it,but decided it was worth the $40 for the mount becuase i didnt want to see the couplers or have more places for leaking couplers.cost me $20 to have mine welded on along with welding 2 pieces of pipe end to end.

i think on some of the maf you can put 2 screws in the pipe and use some rtv silicone to seal it. thats what we did on the fox body kit and do problems at all. we just tapped the pipe and used a 8-32 or something close to that.

Good to know, I was about to ask what to do with my maf. Thing that sucks is my tuner likes using the ba5000 and hates the MAFia, so I'm stuck getting the bigger maf now

I dont really have anything against seeing the couplers, so thats not a big deal for me.

Well I will be the final judge then, because I am ordering this kit in a few hours
Good thing you asked for advice. Seems like 10 people think the kit is a pile of shit (myself included, who didn't chime in previously) for every one who thinks it's good, so you must not value the members' opinions too highly.

Hope it works out for you.

No offense but that's 10 who don't own it and the 2 that do, say it's great. I don't give a shit how good your eyesight is, I can always inspect something better in person than in pictures. I'm not defending the kit, per se but I am defending the fact that a product has people bashing it and the bashers have no personal experience with the item being discussed. I always value everyone's opinion, sometimes even after I realize someone has no idea what they are talking about.

The title of thread is, does anyone know anything about the kit, so obviously hes looking for people with experience. So really the guys that have it are the best resource, over other peoples opinions and "feelings" about it, sure being skeptic and warning on the major components being cheap is good advice, as i got all my own stuff myself. But he already knew that, and i quote:

Seen it on one car here in Miami, he daily drives it and has been for almost 8k miles and puts down pretty good power. I know the piping is good and the turbo is questionable, but could I run this kit with an upgraded turbo and call it a day?

My 2 cents on the matter is, I hear the piping was good, looks decent in the pics, talked to chad about it on the phone and emails, and liked the price. Bought the kit minus the major components (just the piping and hardware) and i am very impressed with the quality of the piping and welds. I'm modifying the kit so i had to cut the ss piping with a small metal hand saw and believe me, its real lol.

could not have said it better my self!!!

i dont see anything wrong with it for that price, is it the best....no, but its far from being the worse. only issue i would be worried about would be if it can hold up over time. i know if this was around 18 months ago when i custom fabbed mine....i would have jumped on it!

There's nothing wrong in using a MAFIA , My car has a 3" intake pipe with a PMAS Meter and Mafia , the signal is beautiful and Im no where near pegging it . Im at 800 hp what more do you need.

I know there's nothing wrong with a MAFia, but Chris likes tuning with a ba5000. If that's what the tuner wants, then that's what I have to get

Yea and what he can make more money off of lol
Or charge me more on the diablo tune lol... the thing is he has written tunes for this setup (basically) with the ba5000, but has no saved tunes for the diablo. So, by me spending the extra $100 on the mafia, I save myself like $50 on what the overall cost would be for the tuning
