I don't recall 19's being a factory option on a 2010. And the STB only on track pack cars?

To be legal in F-stock you have run the car in a basic state that could have been bought from Ford (not a dealer option, factory options) + allowed mods per the rulebook. The good news is STX and STU are options if you don't want to do that.

With the Ford approved camber bolts and strut mods you can only get around -2 and you want all of it. No issues with slipping as long as the bolts are torque down (I actually overtorque them and use a little blue loctite).

You made me go dig up my sticker;-)

Yea, they were an $895 option and I read somewhere that the STB came with them. I am always capable of error... I'll dig up that review and save it.

Yep, several reviews indicate that the brace comes with 19s. Is there a way to confirm with Ford? I don't want anyone thinking that I am breaking any rules.

I'll get going on the alignment. With two weddings in a year I won't have a budget for an autocross only set of wheels and tires so I will be getting some summer performance to help transition from all seasons to r compound. Do you have a preference there?

Thanks by the way for this information. Not many folks want to talk "stock".

No sweat Rapid, I'm not real "up" on the exact option packages in the 2010's... :)

As for a legal alignment you need the cam bolt kit from Ford (not aftermarket). And you can only go to the marks on the strut when enlarging the hole. Use all the adjustment given to maximize negative camber.

Tires: I'd have to recommend one of the three top ST type tires. Hankook Ventus RS3, Dunlop Direzza Star Spec and Bridgestone RE-11. I hear the Hankooks deal with heat the best and on a big car that's a concern. But I don't know how many, if any, come in 19".

very good information here. what do you think of the tokico hp's? i have a 2005 GT thats lowered, uca, lca's, panhard rod, poly bushings all the way around. i only drag race a couple times a year and its not that important to me. Im still on stock shocks/struts but i am looking to upgrade. like yourself, im looking for that feel.

The Koni STR.T were done to fill the gap that was in the Koni line and do battle against dampers like the Tokico HP's. But the Koni's are a much better damper. Better control and WAY better durability and warranty support. For the price difference--which isn't much the Koni's are the superior choice all the way around.

Sam,

Local Ford Parts wants $147.00 for the cam bolts. After market <40.

Have you a better source for Ford stuff? Or, better yet, do you carry them?

Thanks!

I don't do Ford OEM parts. And two issue with aftermarket (which I do sell). 1. They aren't legal for f-stock autocrossing. 2. They are prone to slipping under high load.

OK,

I'll pony up for the OEM.

Thanks again!
