do you want to be able to attach the stock foam to it, or would you rather have the bar hold up the bumper?

Sounds good, looking forward to seeing it. You still planning around $125?

the chromoly one i know can be $125 the aluminum one i will have to check price on the tubing and get a price together.

before i start anything i will get a price estimate and weigh the materials to see if the added weight reduction will be worth the added cost.

You don't need the foam or the bumper to hold the cover in place. It hangs there just fine once all the fasteners are in. A friend has had his that way for year looks to have held up fine. I am making my own replacement for the bumper to save weight and have a place to hang the splitter from. I figure I'll probably cut a couple slices out of the foam for a bit of added support.

I dont see why anyone wants the foam to stay. It is only like a 5mph crash bumper IIRC, so anything over a nudge and your shit is all banged up anyway even with the foam.

thats how our race cars are set up, if you look at the pics i posted on the previous page. I understand these guys want some added support. It would also save some space aswell for intercoolers.

i am trying to get the pieces in place for this now. it will most likely be cheaper if i make the bar hold up nose of the bumper and do away with the foam.
