Well, I contemplated making a build thread for a while and finally bit the bullet. The main reason I was apprehensive is because I know there are many people on forums who have a severe lack of respect for V6's.....this site seems to be MUCH better than some....So here goes nothing!

I plan on building a track worthy daily-driver for now, that is until I am done with Anesthesia School and can afford for this to be my project/track only car.
I'm a roadcourse kind of guy, who is addicted to lateral G's it seems :)
My previous car was a 2002 V6 'Stang with H/C/I, full Suspension setup.....there was nothing fast about it....but it handled well and looked killer!

With this car, I want to (or have already done seemingly) outperform my last setup. Starting with the S197 was a GREAT way to do so haha!

So, here's what I've already done:
GT500 rear lower valence
Fog Lights
Painted Mirrors
Cue-ball sized GT500 style shift knob
HID's
Eibach Pro-kit
Dual Exhaust w/Gt takeoff mufflers and H pipe
800 CFM 12" filter attached to the stock Maf housing (replaced the stock airbox)
18x10 +40 offset FR500's at all four corners w/275/40's all around.
5mm spacers all around (mainly to get things a little more flush)

That's about it for what I have:
So what do I want?

The plans:
Baer Eradispeed 14" brakes for the front (looking into the J hook rotors too)
Goodridge Stainless lines with Motul 600RB high temp fluid
D-specs or Koni Adj's
J&M CC plates
MM Adj. LCA's
BMR Adj. UCA
CHE tq limiters and K brace
Fayes2 Watts Link
Brake cooling ducts (have but not installed, waiting for the Big brakes)
And of course an MGW Sts

Engine/performance:
Sct x3 with 87 perf, 93 perf, and 93 race tunes.
Longtubes
UDP
My custom intake with 88mm MAF housing.
4.10's and Tru-trak
Lightweight DS

My VERY next mod will be My X3 with tunes and UDP.
I expect that to come together in the next two months :)

So I will post pics and update this thread as I get more stuff!

Nice....Whats your plan with your custom intake? Are you routing it down into the lower bumper?

Nah, keeping it simple (for now).

Just basically making a replica JLT....

3" 90* elbow from TB to intake tube 3" Tube to a 3.5"(88mm) Suck through MAF housing, into a 12", High flow filter.
It'll end up being HALF the price of the JLT kit. :)

I will; however, be routing a hose from the lower grille to the intake to keep intake temps closer to ambient!

As far as RWHP numbers go.....I'd be happy with 215whp and 245ish tq
That should be plenty with 4.10's for a DD, ya know?

I'm honestly debating just making a one piece system (as far as TB to the MAF housing) out of fiberglass.....i'm not sure about how well fiberglass reacts to heat though...imput?

I'm not sure how I would make the bend though.....

Have you thought about skipping the bolt ons and going straight for an xcharger?

I would make it out of aluminum and then powder coat it.

The fiberglass will be fine...that intake wont get that hot.
Hmm...I wonder what about 2.5' of aluminum tube will cost....
Good plan!

Over and Over....lol...but I have been down that road with the other mustang haha......I know I could do it....but in the unlikely event that something goes wrong....it's my ONLY car. And being a med student I can NOT afford to miss ANY class or clinic hours lol

It WILL get F/I or swapped eventually......I would love to have about 345whp in a track car, not too much, not too little.
The only thing that will keep me from swapping it would be the fact that the roll center is naturally lower in the 6 than the 8.....I'm sure that there is a way to get the 3v there though, just have to decide where I am and what I want out of it once I have another DD :)

215whp is probably enough to flirt with low 14s. thats plenty quick for most street fun. my old M3 made 212whp and went 14.4@98 and suprised plenty a car from a light.

Yea that's plenty quick for a fun street car :)
That's really all i'm expecting......maybe brush high 13's....but i'm not concerned with 1/4 times as much as lap times :p

Gotcha, well when it comes that time for you, you can drop in the hot rod crate engine and call it a day. Solid torque curve, enough power to be a lot of fun and reliable, and an exceptional road race car.

Sweet ride, I have a 2010 gt myself, and I love driving it every time I get in the car.
