Hey man I didn't know you had a 6!! Well hello! Lol! I just saw that you were looking for 215 for the hp. I was just going to throw in my .02 and let you knw about my car...

I have a S&B CAI, gt takeoffs, custom h pipe (cutouts as well), sct3 with an email tune from BBR (which I love!) and hurst short throw.

With just the canned 93 tune (and above stated mods) I made 206/240. I am in the process of installing 3:73 into an 8.8 rear that will soon go on. After that I'm looking at some uca and lca, shocks/struts, adj panhard bar, swaybars, and some MT et streets. And eventually get some FI once this isn't my daily driver which should be soon.

Just thought id let you know what I have and what it did to my car. You can see my dyno vid if you search tview07golf (thats my username) it's titled 2008 4.0 mustang dyno or something like that.

Hey man I really appreciate ya letting me know that!
I was wondering how well cars did with a tune and the same mods as me did :)
Seems like I should actually exceed my expectations with the UDP and Longtubes :)

thats cool i love that color man, and if your concentrating more on lap times than quarter mile times id reccomend 3.73s cause those 4.10s might be a little steep for open track days, but its cool your going with something different, I had an 03 mineral grey v6 before my current gt and it had bbk shorty headers and magnaflow exhasut and a cold air and other goodies it was a fun little car

Thanks man :)

And I have been contemplating an 8.8 just so I can get 3.90's lol

But I'm not afraid of gear....I'm just looking at what may or may not be best for the track I will be running ....

Do you think 4.10's will be too tall for VIR or Road Atlanta?
Those are the two biggest tracks that I plan on running anytime soon.

One day, maybe sebring or Road America too ( but i'll be running on a MUCH deeper wallet by then haha )

UPDATE:
I'm only 164 dollars away from getting my tuner and tunes!
Also, I've done a little bit of searching around....gonna go ahead and take GB's advice and finish the intake system off with aluminum tube, then prolly just gonna spray it with some gloss black and wet sand/polish the shit out of it....then clear coat it...repeat wetsand/polish.

That's a wicked looking stance man. Looks clean and mean.

Only thing I could possibly suggest is one of those functional 'pony delete' grills. It'll look even more killer.

Good luck with the rest of the build!

I'm in the process of trying to find a nice delete grille....but the ones I keep seeing are those "stack racing" grilles....the GT ones don't look bad...but EVERY v6 grille I've seen has bent bars and poor finish :(
I LOVE the saleen grille....but I don't want to buy a 200 dollar grille just to cut it up to make it fit ya know?

I've looked into the Roush front...but there are too many other things that take priority over that for the price at around 950 dollars painted and shipped.
I think i'm gonna head out to the garage and paint the stock pony black now :p

Hmm that's something to consider.....what are his trans ratios though?

If they are similar to the T5 then that will be the deciding factor.

I've got two layers on .....pony is out of the grille...gonna finish up tomorrow after work.
Well....today rather lol
Gonna put two more layers on, then if I have any clear left I'm gonna clear it twice.
That way it'll at least hold up for a while.

Oh and the specs on the system:

Tubing is PVC
3.5"O.D.
3" I.D.

Stock MAF Sensor housing for now.....honestly I'm not going to peg the stocker anytime soon so I don't plan on changing it unless I go F/I.

The filter is a 12" 800 cfm.

And I also rigged up a little mounting bracket to keep it in place and keep stress off of the connectors.

Should flow a little better than the stock unit.....how much? Eh, who knows....but every little bit helps :)

Hope ya'll like it :)
