I want to increase my trap speed! Help.

Car/Mods: 05 GT manual, JLT intake, bamatunes 91 race tune, eagle f1 supercar rears 285/40/18, steeda tri-ax.. I daily drive my car, with the occasional trip to the track.

I have run the car down the track maybe 15 times, and the highest I could get is 103.xx traps. I'm not that good launching, 2.x 60 foot times are standard. With the exception of one run (102), I always trap 103.

What is going to be the best bang for my buck to get it up around 107-108+? 4.10 gears? Headers? Should I just save some cash for a supercharger and call it a day? I know there are a couple different directions I can go here, and I'm open for different scenarios. Let me know what you all think,

Add power and remove weight.

longtubes, udp and delete plates should get you in the 105-106mph range, some cams and a mnaifold 110ish.

even if you dont remove weight at this time, bottom line is the car needs more hp/tq

Car would need more HP not torque. HP = MPH, ET = Torque

Does your car have the factory exhaust back to the muffler? If so then a H or X pipe would be one thing.

I have no cats, Pypes X-Pipe with stock mufflers.. Are the Stock mufflers very restrictive?

You could put a turbo on it!

I was thinking about UDP's and plates next, getting to the 105-106 would be a good start.. Does 103 trap seem low at all to anyone with my mods?? (see top) I was a little dissapointed by the 103, but perhaps that is the norm? Great replies, thanks everyone.

EDIT: How about the sway bar/radiator support delete? Is that pretty common? Seems like a lot of weight to save there..

swaybar delete, cmcv deletes, udp's should be good maybe some long tubes if you want to get fancy, I stopped the N/A stuff and bought and SC. lol

Gotta be careful with a turbo kit on the 3 valve motors.....the rods are crap and it don't take much to spit one out the side of the block. A small turbo on a stock 3 valve will make close to 500hp and that would be all it takes.

If your car is running 13.0s @ 103 that is about right, all that says it that you hooked fair off the line and made a solid pass. If you wanted more mph, then spinning the tires off the line should give you some MPH but your ET would slow down and it wont be consistent. So what Im saying is if you want more MPH, then it will also knock some time off your ET (as long as you hook).....so your question really should be....How do you make your car faster?

Keep throwing mods on it!!

whats the DA correction at the track you ran at? i trapped 103-104 stock. have yet to run with the mods in my sig.
