Hi guys, so I've reasearched this topic to death and I still cant get this one straightned out. I've read that using the 99-04 flywheel is best for these clutches, I get that. So I've been reading up on the difference between the Spec Steel flywheels 99-04 (part number SF64s), and 05-09 (SF46s). So immediately I figure, " I need the SF64s"... not entirely...
I call Spec to make sure that there is a bigger contact area on the SF64s than the SF46s and he said that they are the exact same flywheel, nothing different...WTF?! So I ask, then why the different part number? He said its just to track what application they are selling to, weather it's a 99-04 or a 05-09, thats it!
Ok, so if that's the case with the Spec, by the way, these flywheels have the replaceable center ring, then is the Fidanza the same way? If I buy the Spec FW, should I just get the one for my year?
Notes: 67k miles, N/A with bolt ons and Nitto 555r DR's, replacing stock clutch with McLeod RST, new flywheel, tbearing, pilot bearing, maybe steel braided line.
