At nearly 270,000 miles, I pulled my 2005 V6's engine and transmission because of busted timing chain cassettes and iffy shifting, so I'm currently overhauling everything that needs attention. My LuK RepSet clutch is nearly shot, but the flywheel remains in good condition. If possible, I'd like to replace all of its components other than the flywheel; however, my understanding is that LuK's flywheel isn't the same as Ford's original design, at least in 2005-2007 Mustangs, as it doesn't have a lip around the outer edge. I've also noticed on websites like RockAuto that clutch kits without flywheels for 2005-2007 V6s have different parts numbers and prices than those for 2008-2009 Mustangs. I have a few questions:

- Can I reuse LuK's flywheel?
- If so, can I reuse it with another manufacturer's clutch kit?
- Since LuK's flywheel is apparently different than Ford's 2005-2007 flywheel, would I need to purchase a clutch kit for a specific year (2005-2007 versus 2008-2009), or are they all functionally the same despite having different parts numbers?

Thanks to anyone reading.
