I know some guys have gone .01 over. Can these blocks be bored .02-.03?
destroke it and rev it to the moon!! 10k shift points baby!Im curious about this as well.
The last thing I would want to do would be to stroke this engine, but boring out for displacement would be great.
Id imagine you'd have to sleeve it to get any real increase though.
Obviously. You have to have sleeves in an auminum block.they are sleeved already from the factory.
the walls are pretty thin as I recall. I doubt they could be bored more then .020
I would be more inclined to make custom pistons with the wrist pin moved up inside the scraper ring. Should provide a fair bit of added rod length.destroke it and rev it to the moon!! 10k shift points baby!
Time for a custom billet aluminum block ?
which is expected to handle upwards of 2,000 horsepower and nearly 8,000 RPM
the water jackets seem pretty weak as they sit from the factory. I was talking to Michael from L&M and Mike from Powerhouse last week at the NMRA event and got a small education on these new motors.
I have heard of the stock block breaking at 1,000 hp on a turbo setup
Fill it with Hard Blok.
