The main bushing on my upper control arm mount to the diff is wearing out (factory) and am looking to replace it. Have a feeling it will involve dropping the rear out. Would like to know what people are having good results with? OE replacement? Energy suspension? Who sells just that bushing?

Thought about going sphereical but would prefer not to have the roughness or noise, so poly or rubber, what brand/vendor?

BFH on standby...

I went with an OEM replacement and paid the dealership to replace it. Thats one thing that I didn't want to do myself. I'm thinking I may just go with a new poly bushing soon here though, I'd like to get rid of the rubber.

This is the one that I'll end up with if I do replace it.

Prothane has one as well, but it won't give you as much articulation as this one.

I got one from BMR. Nice little 5-piece design that looks like it can articulate pretty good without binding. This one uses the OEM casing for the bushing. Just used a hole saw to cut out the old bushing and then a wire wheel to clean it up

Tip on removing a bushing from a shell - use a sharp (new) drill bit in a cordless drill, set it to reverse, and let it walk itself around between the bushing shell and the bushing. It will pull the bushing right out with no damage to the shell. The trick is to let the bit spin only as fast as it walks around the shell.

I went with the BMR bushing as well. Rubber and steel sleeve were removed from the OEM bushing with a drill and whole saws then cleaned up with a wire wheel.

I used a bolt and washer method so I could just hit it with the impact. Took long literally a second to press it in.
