1/4 mile question

I have an 07 gt with l/t's, catless h, c&l racer intake, bama chips tune, cmdp's with a 4.30 and a 75 shot.............my question is that i am planning on getting the comp cam stage 2 thumprs and livernois limiters and i wanted to switch the gear to a 4.56, but will i run out of gear at the track with the 75 shot? .....im pretty sure i would be fine off the spray, correct me if im wrong.

Yep, probably so with a 26" tire. Ask, or PM, Don_W if he still has that handy dandy gear calculator for the s197 car, it's a xls spreadsheet. I make a little defference whether your a manual or auto.

On the juice I'm well over 6k rpm at trap with 4:10's....6300rpm @ 118-119mph.

Having calculated with 4:56 gears will get you 120mph @ 7k rpms with 26' tire.

Bump your rev limiter up.

run a 27" or so on the bottle

27" tire (285/45/17" wheel) looks like by calculations,

~ 115 mph @ 6500rpm
~ 118 mph @ 6700rpm
~ 120 mph @ 6800rpm

you can run a solid mid 11 second et 115mph if you hook up off the line. So maybe the 27 tire if you got the extra $$.
