I have decided to sacrifice some ride quality for the sake of vanity and look into going to a 20" wheel thus bringing me into the 21st century. Below are a few shots of the White Mustang. Sorry no side shots. 18" staggered AR Razors are on the car in Gloss Black with Chrome lip. I am trying to decide on either the Series 2 20" chromes or the KMC silver 20" setup. Either way will be a staggered setup. The car is Oxford White. The stripes are 10" metallic charcoal (very similar to the 2015 Magnetic color) with a 3/16" black pinstripe on the outer edge. Opine away. I can post a broad side shot after I get home tonight if that helps any. Thanks

The KMC will support 305/30/20's on the rear because they are 10.5 wheels, while the Series two will have 275/35/20's. Both setups will have 255/35/20's up front. Nitto 555G2 will be the tire choice.
Thanks.

Anything that doesn't have fake bolts in around the barrel. That makes wheels look shit to me.

Well crap. Just found out that the KMC District hangs out from under the rear wheel well by 10mm. $*$^&#*($&#*($&*(&*)!!!!!

Guess I can do a make shift spacer with flat washers to see what that would look like with the existing wheels (OBVIOUSLY FOR FITMENT ONLY , NOT DRIVING IT THIS WAY! LOL!) in hopes it doesn't look like a Joe Dirt setup.

Going through the AM catalog, these two stood out to me the most.

And then there are these if you want to spend more. All of these come in 20x8.5 and 20x10 sizes.

I don't care for the rivets/bolts either and the 5 spoke is kinda wore out.

I'm still a fan of the concave 5 star design. But I'm in my early 40s.

The car is too nice to put riveted wheels on. Are you going 20's without lowering it?

Its lowered 1.5" in the back. Still trying to source a spring for the front. With the TVS sitting on the engine it sits about .5" lower than stock to begin with so its maybe 1/8th inch over the full length of the car high in the front. I want a 1" front drop or it just flat out won't get in and out of the driveway. I am even considering 19's at this point in the KMC since they offer that size in a 9.5"R 8.5"F AND I can get the tires front and rear in a 27.66" tire height. 275's rear / 245's front.

Wheels can make or brake the look of a car. Trying to do something different is always a gamble as well but if you get it right it sure pays off. I'm tired of seeing black wheels on everything and like most said the rivet look is kind of tired also. (Though I do love me some shelby razers!!) Don't jump into anything and if you have a friend that's good with photoshop use it to test things out first. Best of luck man.

I may find myself simply going with anthracite or chromed razors in the end however. I do like the chromed series 2 But man those KMC's I think are sweet. Can't justify what Velgen wants for a set of wheels (though I know you get what you pay for all too often). Appreciate the feedback and love your S197. I had an 05 in the same color with anthracite FR500 staggered setup on it putting 507 to the ground. That was a nice little car.

^^^^ I saw that one in the 20" lowered section which is what kind've put a rise in my levi's with that series 2 SVE wheel. I mean like BOING! But those KME Districts are so sweet. Just wish it was a 10" wheel. I am looking to see if KME offers a 19" in that wheel which comes in a 9.5 and 8.0 rimsize that would support some nice tires as well. Limited tire sizes but tires with some width all the same.

I was going to run the 19's dur to the fronts being 9" wide, versus thr 8.5 front on the 20's, but the tire selection, and price for 20" rubber is worth it.

The wheels are a whole lot better in person, they show well in pics, but you can't grasp all the curves in pics

So now I am waiting to hear back on something I found interesting. Fitment for the Velgen Classic 5 series which is very similar in design as the KMC District, is 7.52" BS +45mm offset on a 20x10.5 wheel to be used on the rear of a 2014 Mustang GT. Yet KMC sizing is listed as 7.13" BS +35mm offset fitment on their 20x10.5 wheel on the very same application yet the wheels sticks out 10mm when mounted. KMC offers the same wheel in a 7.52"BS +45mm offset however with the proper lug pattern.

So I am waiting to hear something back from supplier and OEM at KMC on this. May still be able to go with the KMC which is my first choice, but aht series two is a real close second.

Hrmmm. My rears are advertised at 7.15 bs with +42mm offset, and they are damn near flush with the top of the wheelwell, little tire poke. I removed the OEM splash guards, and that black chingaleri that is on the front edge of the wheelwell, and the view from behind, or at an opposing intersection is damn nice, without eating my paint.

Vossens CV3 20x10.5 are also spec'd at 7.52" with 45mm offsets. So I am getting very confident that the one supplier spec on the KMC is wrong. Very similar designs, different makers, two different supplers and the specs on Vossen and Velgen are exactly the same, and KMC offers a 7.52BS +45mm offset. So pretty certain someone screwed up, but its all theoretical until I hear for sure from KMC and the distributor.
