Sounds great! How do the Bullitts compare (sound and volume) to the stock mufflers?
I haven’t had a set of stock mufflers on any of my setups, so I can’t directly compare.

However of all my setups, they are one of the deepest and quietest setups I have had so far. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are as quiet if not slightly quieter than the stock manual GT mufflers. But the Bullitts definitely have more bass, so it could just be perceived as quieter. Ford had to make these meet the same noise emissions requirements as the stock mufflers, so it makes sense.

Ranking Ford/FRPP setups I’ve had, the FR500s being a 9/10 on loudness, the GTAs being a 7/10, the GTBs/Bullitt mufflers are probably a 4/10.

Nice sounds good! I ended up ordering Corsa sports because of your clip and endorsement plus several other clips I saw, the raw vicious v8 grunt combined with just enough rasp has grown on me. I’ll update on my thoughts.

I kept going back and forth on h vs x pipe. I think there’s the chance the corsas will be louder than I was hoping for but going to embrace it lol. They seem like the best combo for x pipe. I considered Borla touring to avoid the drone of s type. I think I’m going to have an exhaust shop fab an h pipe that I can run with the OEM mufflers that I can switch to when I want a more classic sound. Pretty impressed by the sound of JC SSP’s setup with BBK shorty, o/r H pipe and stock mufflers.
I would recommend keeping the X with the Sports first. It tames down the tone slightly until you are at WOT, then it screams. To me, the X compliments the Corsas better than the H, but it’s all subjective.

If you want loud but with a nice tone, the Corsas are it :)

The Corsas are bar none the best axleback you can get on these cars, but they are also extremely expensive. Zero drone, probably quieter than stock inside the car. Their RSC technology is like magic.

Idle and normal driving the sports aren’t obnoxious at all, but when you get on it they are very loud (on the outside) with LTs and high flow cats. I was surprised how loud the sports were given they aren’t the loudest option. The cam chop is also very crisp with the Corsas.

My only gripe with the Corsas is the cold start bark - they are loud on cold starts. If my car was a daily and I had early cold starts, I would have to take them off otherwise I would annoy the neighbors.

I have had just about every exhaust combination between the two GTs I have owned (FR500s, FRPP GTAs, Borla S Types, Borla Tourings, Flowmaster Outlaws, Corsas, Vibrant mid mufflers, Macs), and the Corsas are the best all around. The very close second contender are the FR500s. Very on par with the Corsa sports. Third place are Borla S Types, but they drone badly.

Exhaust threads are always subjective so I would listen to a few of the options that are still available above and see what checks your boxes.
Btw how were the borla touring?

I think the tourings are slightly louder than the GTBs but quieter than the old GTAs, so on my scale, probably a 5/10
Nice thanks for the feedback. I think h pipe with borla touring would be a nice moderate setup, but it’s so hard to know before you try.

The sharpness of the corsa’s started growing on me. My impression is that borla “smoothes” the sound, makes it deeper and cuts out a lot of high frequencies

Yep, Corsas have a crisp note. Think a high treble but moderate bass, whereas the Borlas have a low treble, but high bass.

I used JBA LT's...and high flow catted H. And FRS-500 mufflers on my 2010 auto with small roush M90 blower. Too loud, and had drone at 2krm. The fix was a pair of pypes 80 SS resonators..... installed just before the rear axle. That dropped the level and got rid of the drone.
