I'm getting tired of this crappy OEM clutch engagement.. I think that the stock clutch isn't fully disengaging between shifts, which is causing a lot of our problems with grinding/banging.

I don't want to spend a grand on a twin disc, so, what are the other options? Is this just basically a 26 spline clutch that you would toss into a Cobra with a 26 spline shaft? Or, is it different?

I am going on the same thing man. The dealer change the trans oil and help but end up been the clutch for what i have now. Vibration from stop until the car is moving and some sliping also a lot or grinding.

I got Exedy 700. is good for 700lbs of torque and comes in a kit with the hydraulic sleeve pilot bearing and aligment tool. $500-600

You haven't installed it yet I assume? You're having issues with the stock clutch, right? (Had a hard time understanding your post)

I installed the Ram 9.5" twin disc setup w/alum. flywheel last weekend and couldn't be happier. It is worth the extra $300 over a replacement disc and pressure plate IMO.

Stock clutch is a 23 spline! The new TR6060 kit will use a 26 spline.

Can I meet up with you and see what it feels like before you pull it? Never used a RAM clutch before.

I know.. I've been eyeballing it, too.. I can get the RST for like 650 shipped to my door.

Did your stock clutch give you issues as far as not disengaging all the way? And, did the new one fix it?

Dont get the clutch without a new flywheel.

The RST is an amazing clutch, I have about 4000 miles on it and lots of 1/4 mile passes and even when I abuse it at the track and start to smell it all I have to do is put a fan on it, cool it down for about 10 minutes and its ready to go. Feels lighter on the pedal then stock and grabs great.

Our car was one of the first ones out and when the tune allowed us to shift at higher rpm then stock the stock clutch gave up and gave us low pedal engagement. When taken apart the cover plate bolts were loose or broken so we just put the Mcleod in it and havent looked back. We have perfect pedal feel and engagement. Multiple 11.1 runs on our N/A combo as well.

Nice.. I haven't spun mine past 7K, and when the trans was pulled for a whining noise, the pressure plate bolts were all intact/tight. But, the clutch just engages very low to the floor, and I get audible knocking noises when shifting gears with the clutch depressed. That tells me that the disc is still engaged partially.

I will take a few thousanths off of the stock flywheel to clean it up if I get a new clutch.

Sounds like the throwout bearing is not working properly if the pressure plate is not having issues. Have you bled it? You can do it yourself or take it to the dealer. If you want to do it yourself let me know. I will fill you in.

Yeah, the pedal feels kinda like a sponge, and is erratic in it's engagement point.

Also, I get a popping noise and sensation when I push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. It sounds like a spring/pop noise, if that makes sense.

How do I bleed the line? I don't see any serviceable ports to do it. Thanks!
