Just picked up a 2012 GT with a VMP supercharger. It has a full exhaust w/o cats. It has a rough idle with every now and then it kick into high idle and feel fine. I pulled the codes;

P0133
P0141
P0153
P0161
P0300
P0301
P0302
P0304
P0305
P0306
P0308
P0420
P0430
P219a
P2196

My thoughts is the rear O2s weren't tuned out. So now it's going crazing Trying to adjust for everything.

Am I on the right track?

Congrats on the purchase!

The rear O2s don’t do much aside from reading catalytic efficiency. So it would throw a code if they weren’t tuned out with the off-road mid, but wouldn’t cause misfires.

A number of those codes (P0133, P0141, P0153, P0161) are also tied to upstream O2s, and those would definitely cause rough idle/misfire if not reading correctly. However it doesn’t mean the O2s are the cause of the misfires - it could be a symptom of the misfires are mechanical in nature.

I would probably start by pulling a plug and seeing how it looks, especially with the car being boosted.

Do you have a SCT device to do logging of the O2s? Also, do you know if the car has a quality tune from a reputable vendor or shop?

unfortunately the tuner didn't come with the car. Apparently a shop in Chicago did the work with owner previous to the guy I bought it from.

I have an X4 ordered. Probably just put up for the winter and get it great to tune in spring.

thanks for the feed back
