A well equipped 1991 LX 5.0 Mustang MSRP was $14,055. In 2016 dollars that's roughly $24,764. Still 10-15K less than a V8 car today.

I paid well under 30 for my base gt 2013 in 2012... I'm sure the base GT will be near enough 30k on msrp that once the hype dies down, they will be able to wheel and deal into the 20's.

And look at the price of other cars in the era. Dodge caravans were pretty close in price in 1991, right? Well, now the cheap one starts at ecoboost msrp, and the next trim up starts at entry level gt msrp. But I don't think they have a performance pack? Might be a bad comparison.

BTW - I owned a 89LX 5.0, ordered new in Sept 1988, IIRC paid $14,100 (or so) for it.

Actually, there is supposed to be a PP2 package. MagneRide is one of the options coming.

They're not upgrading anything. They used "parts from the GT350" to improve it. Which means slightly less pot metal.

EDIT: I think I paid $19K OTD for my base '99GT. Sticker was low $20s.

my 04 GT had almost every option and I think the sticker was 24ish. My 07 had a sticker of 29 IIRC

Just as I am getting ready to pull the trigger and trade up to an S550, Ford announces this new bad boy. I love it in every way! Just not sure if I can hold out a couple of years for the used ones to start hitting the market. Used 2015-2016 are under $30K all day long right now, even premium models and PP models.

Essentially, Ford may have hidden a clue for the newer power figures at 455. When R&T reached for comment, they were given a similar picture, but instead of 455, they got 755.

The spokesman said, "we'll share more details about the new Mustang closer to launch." Maybe a GeeTeeEightHunditt?
