The over arching question would be what are your goals? That will determine what the best gear for you should be.

Seriously you guys are a bunch of fucking ass holes. I'm asking for fucking advice. I don't know... I don't fucking know or I would not post this thread asking for advice. Some suggested 3.73 and one suggested 4.10. On other forums. They have been more help full than here.

I will more likely go with 3.73

maybe this is not the best forum for you if you're going to continue on this current tact.

Go with 4.56 or higher it will work out great for you. And you don't need to pay anyone to install them, it can be done with simple hand tools. Also which CAI should buy?

You asked for advice, when that advice did not fit your preconceived (look it up) ideas, you proceeded to tell everyone to fuck off. You got sand in your vagina when someone suggested you actually search and even provided links to searches for your question.

The JPC car runs E85 and has lightweight bumpers and other weight reduction done.


Honestly I love my 3.15's. With a good tune on street tires it just roasts the tires now. I do have a set of RT-S wheels and drag radials going on but I think I'll stick with my 3.15's still.

*newsflash* everyone in the 10's is on e85 so it's not like we reinented the wheel & even with the weight reduction, we are still heavier than the competition. really, is that the best you could do?

o/p, go with 4.10's just like I've told you on other sites or mabie give the 4.30's a try, they will be next in my car.

Newsflash. Not everyone wants a steep gear where they're shifting into 4th before they've it 30 miles per hour. And I didn't say anything about your car that wasn't true. Your car has basically become a track car only with a ton of weight reduction. So not exactly an apples to apples comparison now is it?

And we have another English major here now huh? It's spelled "maybe" not mabie.

Need some help deciding on gears for my auto.

3:73 OR 4:10 what do you guys think?

It's not my daily driver but it may become later. I do a lot of highway driving but really don't care about the motor noise. How much MPG will is lose with the 4:10 compare to the 3:15 I have right now**. I'm leaning towards to 4:10 but would like some input.
