3v Whipple 93 and e85 injector choice

Recently bought a Whipple 2.3 without injectors. Been collecting parts over the years and have a set of 42s and 60s. Read different things about spray patterns a trying to get this right the first time. Currently running a stock bottom end and but possibly want to use larger injectors with 93 tune and get a e85 tune this winter.

Injector Dynamics ID1000. Period. They WILL drive like stock and be enough injector for anything you do with that blower including building the bottom end and cranking it up down the road. You can go ahead and thank me now. You are welcome

Your 60's will do for now tho since you already have them. Try them out then go from there

Don't have id money at the moment lol. Looking for an extra block since I just scored a cobra crank and manley rods for a future winter build. Will the 60s be enough to support safe power on stock bottom end with e85?

60's will be fine. I ran 60's with E85 all last year on my car with a built engine with no problems. You will need to work with your tuner to most likely up the fuel pressure a little but other than that you should be good. I think Lito had my pressure at WOT somewhere around 55psi instead of 40 where it's at now with my Bosch injectors.

Will the 60s fit with your Whipple? When I had a Whipple only the 48mm mid length injectors worked well. If you are reading about spray patterns I'm going to guess you are reading about the g302 older GT500 injectors. Many people had problems using them with a whippled 3v but it's really a tuning issue. The right tuner can make them work.

If I was in your shoes I'd purchase a set of Bosch racing injectors. They aren't modified, they are made by Bosch to flow higher fuel rates. Also flow matched by Bosch.

Depending on what you are looking for they run from $600-$1200 for 1000cc to 2000cc.

Have a set of 60# Siemens Deka Ev6 4 hole injectors. From what I read in the pinned post these are long injectors so I assume they won't work.

What fuel pump and fuel filter did you use?

GT500 pumps and stock filter when I had the 60's in my car. I don't remember if I had the 40A boost-a-pump yet though. I now have -8AN PTFE line and the Fore filter with the stainless screen.

People make them work by heating up the plastic intake tube. I never have.

If you have GT500 pumps they will take you to 575 or so with 80# injectors and e85. My 80s were converted gt500 injectors, they worked great. There was a similar set up for sale just a little while ago. I think boozeshay? had them up for sale. That's how far I got with a 2.3 whipple anyway. 1000cc should give you a little more.

You will need ev14 48mm length injectors, or if the whipple allows the rails to be moved up you can use fuel rail spaces and run the taller ev6 60mm injectors. I dont believe there is room though.
