Anyone know if there is such a number out yet? Trying to compare it to the 3 valve.

This motor has me hooked :damnit:

I havn't had a chance to look at one close in person, are the water pump's the same as the 3 valve? Would be nice for my electric water pump to work... From looking at the bare block in certain pics it does just want to confrim..

I'll check for you tonight if I can get out of the office in time.

Didn't take you long to consider the swap, huh...:highfive:

Hey Matt, why not just buy one & then you can let us all know. LOL The way you got the 4.6 to perform N/A you can have the first 5.0 N/A in the 9's!

Mint! Thanks, the extra 40-50 lbs of torque will make up for the differnce fo sho

I'm glad 19cobra93 reaffirmed this though. When i read 430lbs i was kind of..."naaaahhhhhh", but that is pretty light .

I won't be using the power steering pump or ac condesor ither .... Mine should make some killer power if I go through with it all... Comp just released their first set of cams too..

Realistic I can see these motors making 500+ at the tire on a stock bottom end when the cams come into effect... and make power up to 8000. This is the make or break deal in the NA game and if I want to go correct I feel the 5.0 heads is the key.

444 is shipping weight with the crate. 430 is the engine itself. FYI.

And I dream of doing this swap as well. An E85 Procharged Boss 302 in my old '05. That's my dream. One day...

don't give up on the 4.6!!!

It's not that I have given up.. I can probably gain another 50 hp from doing a stroker and bumped compression, change the long tubes to 1 3/4 and hope for a bit more but the next time the motor comes out I want 500hp+ and for the 3 valve to do that with street drivability that I wan't I feel the 5.0 has so much potential! the heads flow 315 out of the box for christ sakes... Wait till the intake's , throttle bodies, valve springs etc come out...

Plus it's great R&D for our buisness so I think im going for it...

Plus I like the new 5.0 badge should look good on the fenders :roflmao: The 4 valve covers look bling too.

My old motor..... hmm first I need to take the proto type intake and put it in a glass case :p
