Can it be done with a full weight, street driven, pump gas, 3-valve and who here is doing it? What is your formula for getting there?
My current set-up (tvs, auto, drag radials) runs mid 7.30's to low 7.40's (depending on weather) on about 8lbs. of boost. My guess is that I have about 450 horsepower. Will another 100 horsepower get me there?
Thanks for the help.

A 6.5 in the 1/8 is equivalent to a 10.3 in the 1/4.
You'd need a weight/power ratio of roughly 6.4lb/rwhp to get there so if your race weight is 3200lb with driver, you'd need 500rwhp. At 3500lb you'd need 550rwhp.

Look up tigerhonaker, His built, auto-swapped Bullitt ran mid-6's on the 1/8th, low 10's on the 1/4 ..

I've ran a few 6.50's @110 with a T-56, 3.90 gears and a healthy shot of nitrous.

The last time I weighed my car with the T-56 in it, it was a portly 4300lbs with me in it, MM 6pt roll bar, full tank of gas and tools in the trunk.

I think you'll need more than 100 extra hp but it is do-able.
My best with my new setup is 7.1@104 (4700 ft elevation) with a 1.82 60' time and a TR6060 so with a couple ticks off the 60 ft. and a clutch that can take a bit if heat, I'll be close. Near sea level, it should already be there

Where did you find this info? This is interesting and will help if I put the car on a diet.

I forgot about Terry's build. I will search that now. I had plans on getting my car weighed today but my local scrap yard closed. I bet my car's race weight with me in it is over 4000lbs.

Thanks to everyone who posted so far.

LOL, those of you who are running with a race weight of 4000+lb must weigh at least 500+lb! ;)
My race weight was 3460lb and I weigh 170lb. With the front passenger seat, rear seat, and trunk contents (including spare wheel) removed, my car weighed 3290lb with a 1/4 tank if gas. An aluminum driveshaft is the only permanent weight reduction.
If you wanna go faster, it helps to lose a few spare lb from the waistline! ;)

LOL...170 pounds...LOL I think I was 170 pounds when I was 12! I'll put my car on a diet first.
Thanks for the information on your car. I also have an aluminum driveshaft but I have not tried any other weight reduction. I drive my car to the track so I race it with a spare in the trunk, all seats, etc. and I have supercharger. I wish I would have weighed that supercharger and related parts before I put them on.

IMO you're gonna need to loose a significant chunk of weight and more than 500rwhp. I am running 5.4's at a little under 130 in the 1/8th, don't recall exactly what my car weighs, but it is still over 3000lbs before driver, and I am making 1200 to the tires. A 6.5 will put you deep into the 10's maybe even a very high 9, I will see if I can dig up a time slip.

5.4's are impressive. I would like to see the time slip. Did you build the car for that et or did you slowly get there?

By the way, I found Terry's build thread. That thread was full of pictures and most are gone. Sadly, I did not get much out of it.

I have been 7.06 in the 1/8th - 3675 race weight. 76/68 Turbo 4R70W MVB. Made a pass this past weekend and while they had the timing turned off because it was no prep heads up - logged 104.57 mph in the 1/8th on the SCT so that would be in that neighborhood.

Sactown & ponys197: Thank you
Sactown, At 875 rwhp, I am guessing that you were not using pump gas or a stock displacement 4.6, correct? Can you elaborate a little on your combo to get to that 6.1 ET?

I was running E85 from the pump, I would test the fuel to make sure it was good, fuel here in Ca is pretty sketchy. Ford Racing Aluminator stock displacement 8.5.1 compression (still is stock displacement) single 76/75 turbo air to air, at the time 4R70W mvb, 3500-4000rpm stall, stage 2 blower cams (still running these), ford racing intake and throttle body, full exhaust, LCA, UCA, ARB, 4.10's, a few weight reduction mods, and really good shocks, plus slicks.

I melted the #7 piston a year ago due to an injector only operating at 87%. Had the motor rebuilt, upgraded rods and pistons, now running 10.1 compression, still stock displacement, only run Red Ignite fuel E90 114 octane, power glide, 3.73's, lightened the car up some, open exhaust and radial slicks.

Saving for a larger turbo, some additional weight reduction and a racing brake setup, I would like to run 4.6's, going to take some work to get there.

Sactown: Thanks for the information. I remember when we could get E85 at the pumps around here. Those days are gone but I hear it was sketchy here as well.

ponys197: Great pass. Time to change your signature but I wouldn't include that reaction time!
