bringing this thread back for some help from people that have already done it.... im installing the controller in my 07 gt500 next weekend and im trying to lock in where im tying everything in. I know I need a ground close to ecu.... what did you guys use? what about ignition switched power? the instructions say to tap into the accelerator pedal position sensor if you have an electronic throttle.... did you do this or tap in to the TPS sensor? thanks for the insight. car is running and driving with the 6r80 in failsafe mode.... just need to wire in the controller once I receive it this week. I have the 07 ford wiring diagram book in hand trying to figure this out... but this is my first time tackling a project like this. I know there are a few different ways to do some of this stuff.... I appreciate any and all help

The 6R has way better ratios that allow a lower rear ratio that can further be reduced with the overdrives for driving. The 6R is the best automatic that Ford has ever made. It's hellastrong.

More axle ratio, if you can hook it, will help the 60'.

Will the 6R80 fit in an 07GT without any issues ?

Well, the OP put a 6R in 2005. It's the whole point of this thread. The '05 tunnel is the same as the '07 tunnel, so yeah.... I'd guess it will fit without much trouble.

OK let me be more clear so yes it will fit /bolt up but what other issues are there in making it work ? Going from a five speed Trans to a six speed trans I'm expecting that a new ECU or a reprograming of the ECU is needed.

lol it is a VERY long thread.... I have read it 3 or 4 times because I am terrible at wiring but I also really want a 6r80 gt500.... and today I have finally done it. I have a question for you guys.... I had a falling out of sorts with the guy who tuned my car last and although the tune is great, I need to change the OSS count in my tune still. IF this is not done will the car shift properly??? does if just effect the speedometer? THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!!!! I WOULD NEVER HAVE GOT THIS DONE WITHOUT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ALL OF YOU!!!!

If i can use the "adjustable mode" for the speedometer output and get the speedo to read correctly will i still need to adjust the OSS count to 40 in the tune?

I'm having a issue with the +/- button on my 13-14 shifter. It shifts the Transmission twice with each press, like its sending two signals. Maybe I have it wires wrong.

Remote display

I went ahead and wired up a remote display went to an electronics shop and got a bunch of jumper wires put them together an walah. It was a bit tedious but I got it done doing the same thing with a shfift light plan to mount both between the center AC vents
How are you all getting the select t shift to work?

Mine is working. It’s been over a year so all I can say is cross reference shifter schematic with quick schematic and make sure you adjust your shifter in the tune. It’s one of the categories in the options

I've looked for a schematic for the shifter with no luck.

I have the actuator and illumination working just can't seem to get the button to work right. Theres 3 wires coming out the handle from the button. I supplied ground to the bigger wire and connected the other 2 to the correct wires on the controller.

The pigtail from the shifter has seven wires. Does anyone has a schematic? I can't find one.
