IF i were to go that route,i would not be repalcing one aluminum block with another......id be replacing the lines that all go up into the engine bay and get rid of all that crap!!

id think if you could find or even order the V6 lines that comes on the non-abs cars you would be all set!!
Thats what Im planing . I should have more info in a week or so .

If someone needs a stock V6 line for non-abs, that runs from the master cylinder to the "T" split to each wheel, let me know. I put in a line lock and am not using that stock section of line. My car does not have ABS.

I talked to the guy that makes the blocks for older year mustangs. I'm going to send him my ABS pump so he can design a block. I will probably send it to him after the Import vs Domestic in Nov.

The block is less then a pound, probably 4x6x1 inches. Saves me from having to re-bend and run new lines.

so your just trying to shave 2 pounds? and giving up ABS at the same time.....to each his own i guess. only way id see it being worth it would be to clear that mess outta the engine bay....

I have no abs anyways after putting in rear race brakes. May as well get rid of the box clean up the bay. I'd like to move the PCM/distro block out of the bay also. I think JPC moved the one on the twin turbo car to the fender well.

Matt are you losing the power booster as well... i didn't see this thread and just posted one re: converting to manual brakes. i want to lose all that crap and just run manual old old school stuff. due to my cams the power brakes don't work very well even with a reservoir so instead of using a vacuum pump i just want to ditch the whole setup. i may keep the stock calipers and stuff for now (unless my Christmas bonus is nice).
I don't mind making new lines and stuff. i'm going to replace the rubber hoses with braided lines anyway and it's pretty easy to bend up new lines.
anyone gotten rid of the power booster let me know how you did it...thanks.

I am leaving my booster... Lots of street driving still for me but Race craft makes the kit to ditch it. Paul (psfracer) used the same part

Yep that is the one I used. You can see it in this picture. I mainly did it to increase clearance for the drivers side valve cover for the 572 cid BBF.......:evillaugh:

As of right now the block is still there---but I am thinking I am going to remove it and re-do all of the lines directly to the calipers. I also have to get a proportioning valve.
