At ignition on the airbag light comes on as normal goes off and then comes back on solid. It does not flash. Code scanner pulling B0028-13 Right Side Airbag Deployment Control - Circut Open.
Here is what I have completed/know so far:
- Car has never been in an accident
- Fuse is good.
- I have disconnected the battery for 48hours.
- Verified airbags replaced under recall
- I suspect seat position sensor. I do have power to that plug. I am not showing continuity on the sensor. Should it?
- In scouring the internet chasing this, I did find a PDF file with this code listed and it said to do a Pinpoint Test G, but I cannot find out what that is.
- Interesting tidbit: I just picked this car up from 2nd owner who acquired it in 2013. Got all the records. In that pile was a receipt from a small mechanic shop from 2014 noting the airbag light was on and this code. She said its been on since then and was told it was a seatbelt sensor and to not worry about it. So she didn't. She was 60 yo and never had anyone else in the car.
Any help or any other ideas?
