I had originally ordered the 90mm Ford Racing T body made by accufab... then I talked to George at Accufab and he told me they were making a 85mm that out flowed the 90. So I sent the 90 back and got the 85

The melling number with the billet gears is #10227.

If you don't want to lock out the Vct TSS is your option. Melling had a video at the Pri show with a stock ford modular .pump and their pump under full load. It's amazing how the stock pump looses so much oil. when I find the video I will post it.

So than the GT500 with TSS gears is the way to go than.

That sounds like a good video to watch, thank you sir :hi:

Is that an aluminum fly wheel?

Also that SCT controller seems pretty cool, I was just looking at that. If you can would you give us your take on it after you have had your time with it?

Going to stay NA also. JLT CAI, Steeda CMDPs..UDPS, Pypes LTs..H-pipe, MACs axle backs, FRPP 4.10s, DR cams , stall conv and a Brenspeed tune . That will be about all I will do. I hope to have everything done by mid-summer.

Nice! Sounds like a good build, keep us updated!

I was messing around with my tuner tonight while loading a new tune. I noticed that you can adjust the timing in various rpm ranges. Is this something that can be done effectively without sitting on a dyno?

Is it worth bothering with?

With either the GT500 Pump or the Melling Pump would I need a 7+ Quart Oil pan?

For 7000+ Rpm I would use a deep pan. Better more oil then not enough.

Ask your tuner what he currently set the timing at. Most of the time the spark table will be set from 3000-6500 rpms with max timing for the octane you are going to use.(under full load) for a Na car. Or data log the timing and see where it's at and then you can go from there.
