Im not sure if this is the correct section to post in, if not, I appologize in advance.
Im going to be upgrading my sound system in the near future and I just had a quick question about the factory amps. I plan on getting a new set of front speakers and a subwoofer. I was going to keep my stock sync head unit and leave the rear speakers stock, plugged into the factory amplifier (are the rear speakers even amped?). Somebody was telling me, depending on how the speakers are wired to the amp, it can potentially be an issue to unplug the front speakers from the amp and leave the rears plugged in. Something about potentially back feeding to the head unit and frying it. Does anyone know if this is true? Ive wired up many a sound system but never while utilizing stock head unit and amplifier.
Thanks in advance for any help.
