Another weird electrical issue

So on my way back to work after going to the hardware store, I notice my dash and radio are not lit up. Radio is playing and blinkers and headlights are working. I pull in to the parking lot and kill the headlights (it's raining) and everything lights back up? Wtf? Alternator maybe? It's got about 40k miles on it (2nd one). I'm going to test with the multimeter when I get home but I'm open to other suggestions.

Either that or the sjb getting wet. Ive had some whacky shit happen when the sjb gets wet in my 07.

Turned out to be dumbassery. Some how I turned down the brightness wheel all the way down without noticing. Damn. At least it was an easy fix. I was worried all afternoon if I'd make it home or not.
