so i messed up my body kit and got about $3500 for the damage and i have all my stock body components that i can put back on the car, so basically i'm asking what type of modifications could i do with that amount, or should i just put it back to the way it was with no power mods. Your opinions are greatly appreciated, due to the fact i am torn between power and looks.

^sounds good but I've never really even considered power mods, as you can see my car is mostly looks with headers CAI and exhaust, but thats basically it as far as power goes, what could i do with the $3500? is that enough to go supercharged, or no?

where could i get a blower that cheap?
Gray,

Not exactly $3,500 but very close.
I thought you could probably add some bucks if needed.

Yup, pretty much what Terry said above....The Centri Blower combo is affordable at $3,900....plus dyno tune which will run you another $250-$300. But $4,200 for 100-125hp is a good investment.

Another route:
Cams - $1300 (price is with Install)
Longtubes-$500
Midpipe- $300
Exhaust $400
CAI +Tune - $600
CMCV Deletes- $200
4.10s - $400 (thats with install)

Thats adds up to around $3700....but you would see big gains from them. That would put you around the 330-340rwhp mark with the right tune and cam combo. And if you can do that labor yourself or grab the parts used off one of the sites you can probably save another $1000 and further add more go parts.....

Or get the On3Performance turbo kit. Follow the other threads about that system and what else you should get. I think that came out to your price if I remember. Been a long time since I looked at that thread

so i looked around a bit and i cant tell, but which type of FI is better? twin screw, centri, single, or twin turbo?
Also i was thinking about putting in some high lift cams because i dont race but i would love to hear that rough idle every time i crank it up. In your opinion is it worth it to do n/a mods or should i just go with FI

Use the search button there are a ton of threads on here with people debating. There really is no right answer, it's all personal preference.

Gray,

This is really the bottom line to what you are asking.
There is NO-Mr. Right when it comes to FI choices.
A person simply picks the one that usually FITS their Budget and they like it's looks under the hood.

Same for High Lift Cams.

Listen to my Video in my Signature and that will give you some idea of what the Brenspeed (Detroit) Rocker Blower Cams sound like.
They also offer them for the N/A Application and they sound the same.
With them you Do-Not have to change anything that came from Ford.
The Cam Phasers stay in place along with everything else.
There is No-Spring Change required.
Change the Cams ONLY and away you go.

So, add a Blower like the V-3 Vortech or Paxton and a set of the cams I mentioned and you have POWER & Great Sound.

What State are you in ?

Might be worth the drive to Brenspeed to have them do your Mustang.

And of course there are other Great Performance Shops to choose from according to which State you live in.

Good-Luck,
Terry

your car sounds great,

i'm in north Carolina, I live about 40 mins away from Fastlane Motorsports, so i will probably go there for my power modifications and tuning.

as you can tell i have some research to do and a lot of figuring out which way i want to go with my car.

Gray,

Let me try to Help-You some with this.

If you have NOT Beat the Crap out of your Drive-Train (Clutch) etc.
And don't have a lot of Miles on the Drive-Train. (Clutch).
You can do what I suggest below and the Post above without having to change the Clutch etc. out.
You can add the Blower with a Low-Boost.
Add the Brenspeed (Detroit) Rocker Cams.
Plus you will need a Good/Reliable SCT Tune from like Brenspeed.

You will have all kinds of Added POWER and be able to drive your Mustang Daily with No-Problems.

If you get Crazy with Boost-Levels and Wild-Lopey-Cams and a CRAP Tune.
You will end up with is a BLOWN Engine or one Screwed-Up MESS that will NOT be Streetable.

Keep it Simple Buddy where you can Enjoy your Mustang and drive it anywhere at anytime.

Last Comment and this is meant to Help-You.
Watch out to whom you take Advise from on Internet Sites.

thanks Terry,

What you have been telling me is extremely helpful.

and if you cant tell i take very good care of my car, keep the miles low i only have like 23,000 on it and i have never raced it, and rarely get on it more than needed, so everything as far as drive train and clutch is in very good shape, the only thing is with adding a blower i worry about what you said, blowing my motor, though this is not my only car i don't have a lot of money coming in right now so i cannot afford any major problems. If adding a blower to my stock motor wont put too much stress on it, i may very well do that. and i forgot to tell you i have a completely new suspension lowering springs, baer breaks, panhard bar and a few other minor handling mods. i hear people that add blowers without the breaking upgrades and handling accessories are extremely disappointed with the outcome of the car.

But yes everything said has been helpful, and i appreciate it.
