Anyone ever had a BMR A arm snap in half?

If you have BMR A Arms on the car why did you take it to Ford? They aren't going to fix a aftermarket piece. Did you call BMR and explain the situation? I would raise hell until they overnighted me a new one.

There's no fixing it, I just want them to put an oem arm in. just to get going again instead they are taking their sweet ass time.

BMR

There are a bunch of BMR A-arms out there and I really hope they are not a weak link since I have a new set in my car and plan to beat the piss out of it with my 76mm and new 4r70. I am sure BMR will make it good if it is a defect! Good luck and please keep us posted!

Im curious to see what happened, Ive recently went to a BMR K-Member kit with A-Arms. I drive the car only on weekends but its still a Street Car DD.
Hope this isn't going to bite me in the azz.

I was sort of thinking along the same when Jeremy called me yesterday. Definitely a bummer! Hopefully BMR will help him since they don't state that their A-arms are "strip only".

Sharp turns put a lot of stress on the front suspension. You would be amazed at how many cars I get in the shop and the customer states: "I was making a sharp turn through the drive through of Hardee's and POP!" Then the front of the car is laing on the ground with the tire tucked in the fender. Real fun to get them on the lift. Usually worn ball joints are the culprit though. Specially MN12 T-Birds.

Hope it all gets worked out Jeremy so you can make it up to Mikes this weekend. I'd hate to know how much Ford sells a stock arm one for. Any damage occur to your ride?
oh yeah the old mn12's used to own a 97bird before i got the stang.

I had a two 96's and a 97 (both 4.6's) over the years. Just got rid of the 97 last year. It had all sorts of mods (FRPP blower, PI stuff, all the boltons, full exhaust, eibachs/konis, cobra wheels and much more). Loved the car to death, but it was just getting old and I couldn't have two money pits anymore haha!

So I let her go to a good friend who managed to take a chunk out of a ring land. So now it's a 7 banger.

Does anyone have the Ford part number for a passenger side A arm so we can call around and is the GT A arm the same as a V6 A arm?

Well, got a call from ford today and they said they cant work on it because there is "aftermarket" suspension on the car. I told them its not warranty work just i want a stock a-arm put in. She said "we cant do the work". WTF! I had my cars aftermarket components replaced (mish rad and bilstein strut) at another ford dealer when i had a small accident. Anyways... This is more bullshit, car sat there for 2.5 days just to tell me they wont do the work.

Good news, buying an a-arm from the same ford dealership and having towed again to TonyN's shop where he gonna swap it out for me.

After its out I will take pics.
