do you know anything about this kit? do you know what parts come with it? have you ever seen this kit or used it? then you dont know dick about whats going to fail. has anyone at all post on here and said "oh my oil feed line melted into a hundred pieces and caught the car on fire and my family died"?? nope

So let me see if I understand what your saying correctly. If I blow coke and don't get caught or called out on it, I'm not a crack head? And if I do get caught it isn't a problem - since they haven't done it they have no proof that it is harmful! I don't think your argument is a valid one as there are plenty of people that don't even know what a forum is. Not speaking for or against this kit but lets be reasonable people.

Cheap turbos fail. Cheap wastegates fail. Cheap bypass valves fail. Cheap piping NOT welded by certified welders can fail. Cheap oil feed lines can fail. Yeah, you're right. I don't see anything that could fail in that kit either.

Wanna come take a ride in my daily driver? It has all of our On 3 parts, just the standard 70mm kit, 10,000+ miles and about 2 years of murdering it? Seems to run pretty good to me and about everyone else that rides in it. Trapped 120mph on a bone stock GT with the kit, no failures here. Do you honestly think I would sit here defending myself if I knew items were failing. And if I did, I would surely change suppliers or products to prevent that stuff. Im not just some random person, I know what Im selling, I designed it. You really learn the product when you make it and drive it everyday

Shit, from the looks of things that wastegate routed back into the exhaust may be able to be rotated to move it up and out of the way with some tweaking. The swaybar may get in the way but I know many people don't run one.

Edit: ON3 what is your take on this?

Bobby, do you know what exact issues may arise in an install in my car? By that I mean any hoses, clamps, etc that may need to be replaced. Also, if I'm targeting just 450rwhp through the automatic and daily driving it, would the On 3 Performance Turbo make the cut, or should I upgrade to the Master Power options?

BTW, I got a check for backpay that the office owed me, so I got another $800 in my pocket today so my interest in the turbo is back if the nitrous kit sells :)

I had a 351 based motor make 680rwhp on our 70mm. The On 3 70mm will make 450rwhp no sweat, its all I have ran but really its just the personal opinion on what to use. The options are all there, the standard turbo wouldnt be included if it wasnt proven though and I wouldnt leave it in the kits. Either way will get the job done, just which route you feel better with

Just an observation. To get rid of one of those low hanging pipes (the one in the middle off the wastegate) couldn't you just vent that bitch to atmosphere getting rid of that one and "make more power" in the process?

It might look low from the car being up on the lift and Im taking the photos from under but that w/g recirculation tube isnt going to hit anything. I do love the sound though when the w/g is dumped, half the reason why I did it on my 02 2v.

I would dump it but if you live in a state where you have to meet emissions, you would never pass. I really dont know much about that stuff and wasnt sure if guys could just have high flow cats welded in to still pass emissions. I really dont know but thats half the reason we recirculated it. Also some of the guys dont like how it makes it a little louder when the gate opens and starts to bleed the exhaust gas off. However, I love it and I have since made my 02 vented to atmosphere, sounds good and helps reduce some backpressure. I never dyno'ed the car after though to see if or how much power was picked up

what im saying is that we have people on here who have experience with the kit and say its good. then we have people that dont have the kit but look at pictures of the parts on the internet and someone make a determination that the welds, turbo, wastegate, and bov are all junk. if you like your hellion or whatever thats great but dont come shitting on something you dont own or have any experience with. the op asked if anyone knew about the turbo kit and people that owned or have used the kit pipe up and say its good. end of thread. next thread

I don't want to get into a long debate about this but my thoughts are this:

With respect to the kit, I have no experience at all but I know that quite a bit of steel (carbon, stainless, exotic) comes across the ocean on a ship, I also know that there is not an inferior grade of UNS S30400. The UNS number means that it meets the composition requirements necessary to be labeled 304SS and whether it is a standard (I assume standard) or low carbon (304L - less than 2% carbon) is irrelevant. The material is stated to be 16ga and I can look at the welds and based on what I can see (visually), they look good. I would upgrade the WG/BOV and to the MasterPower at the least but to each their own. If you are happy with any purchase you make, it is money well spent.

On the other hand, I love Mike and SD's kits and you really can't beat the quality of either but that quality costs extra coin. You have to decide where to make sacrifices, with the items you buy or your wallet.
