Here lately I've been looking at the mods coming out for these cars and I think either they are A) extremely tacky B) too expensive C) just down right fugly D) all of the above... Don't know if thats a sign of losing interest in the car, or me just hating on the mustang aftermarket.

The way my car sits ATM is not really how the car looks in my sig. I've done a lot more things to the car, just haven't had time to post pictures. Just imagine a debadged/un-stickered grey Boss 302LS and you have my car. Only other thing I want to do to my car is a supercharger, but I don't have the extreme desire to drop 6k on one right now, lol.

Anyone else in the same boat as me? /shrug

The money involved can make you catch your breath. Nothing wrong with taking a break from the money train and just enjoying.

Didn't lose interest, just ran out of tasteful mods. The only mods I want to do now are an air ride and a 4r70 tranny.

Haven't lost interest- trying to wrangle with this 600hp number I have in my head and a Saleen blower.

I been thinking of just setting mine a blaze, and watching it burn. That's how long my interest has been gone:)

Just coming out of my slow season. Money has been tight for a couple months but work is picking up. I'm busy paying down the credit cards I used over the winter and in another month or two I'll be in a position to begin working on phase two of my build. I may actually have to start a thread for that when the time comes.

I guess I can say I lost interest in modding because my "goals" were limited to begin with for just a weekend cruiser. Basic STS, 4.10's, CAI, LCAs, tune, drop, exhaust + a few appearance mods. I do dream about picking up a 5.0 everyday though!

I got bored for awhile, was into other things like home audio. Car modding come back with a vengence last few months. Supercharger , new rims , blah blah , parts waiting to be installed. Give it a few months enjoy it and then come back and buy when the market is looking at the latest mustang model.

I would order all kinds of things if I had the money for it.

The S197 has become an old platform. Soon only high school kids will get a kick out of modifying it.
