Saleen series vi.5 s/c high flow lid upgrade

I must be out of the loop. What is the Saleen Series 6.5 Lid upgrade?

What are the details on the 6.5 lid? Price? HP/TQ gains? Any clearance issues on the hood or cowl? Looks good!

The new upgraded lid increases airflow and gets rid of the front and rear center post mounting locations. This lid will outflow the stock throttle body, whereas the older lid wont without porting. We have seen 10rwhp gains with the lid and it fits fine under the stock hood (actually probably better than the older lid). It sure does look good, you have that right!

Could not find it on your website. How much? Does it need a tune adjustment? Will the GT500 TB work with it? Does it still need the spacer for the TB?

Its actually so new its not on our website yet. The cost is $599.99 and then the discount is off of that price. Yes, it will need a tune revision and yes, your GT500 throttle body should work as long as it clears the hood. Not sure on the spacer because we have not tried this configuration and just use the FRPP 62mm TB.

well, damn. That does look sexy and I always love more power but this may be a hard one to justify.
Does the change in airflow lower the boost?
I'm already living in the danger zone on the stock engine.

I Like the look too!

You say 10rwhp gains is that "normal" or is that the best gains you have seen to date? I still have the stock throttle body are these gains with the stock throttle body?

One other question - is there a weight difference between the two units and if so how much?

No, it does not effect the boost whatsoever.

There is not really a weight difference between the two and the standard gains are around 10rwhp. Honestly we really havent put a lot of these on because its a fairly new item, but in our testing for Saleen the gains were around 10rwhp.

Sorry if this was asked.

Is the 10rwhp with the FRPP throttle body, or just the lid?

Thanks,
Chris
