are tokico d-specs the same as ford racing adjustable?

Its time to upgrade my suspension and I'm researching putting together a package. I'm fairly certain I'm going with the d-specs but I see ford racing has a set too. I've confirmed that tokico is making these for ford. But my question and what I can't seem to confirm is if they are exactly the same or is there a difference?

Thanks!

As far as I can tell they are the same. But you need to check and see if you need to use the Ford Racing GT500 Style Strut Mount Upgrade (05-14 All) for them to fit. Just check all in info on the ones you order.

Reading the reviews, it seems that they come with an instruction manual for the D-specs.

I'm pretty sure they're the same, I could be wrong though. I have a buddy that works at FRPP who told me last year they were the D-specs with the obvious Ford markup. You may have a hard time getting a set of D-specs since I've heard they're going through a "management" change. I still like the Koni yellows and would run them over these, that's a personal opinion though.

I'd think they are. I have a set of Ford Racing shocks/struts (non adjustable) and I compared them to the Tokico's and they are identical.

I've heard a lot of good about the Koni too. I take it you have tried both of them out? I'm looking for something that has the ability to go from a relatively soft comfortable ride that I can easily change to stiffen up for some fun.

These ones right

Sam Strano is a forum sponsor and I don't think you'll find a better price online anywhere else. That said, if you can wait until Spring time, Koni does a 20% off sale that Sam honors. It also looks like the Koni's are on back order until 11/13/13.

EDIT: As someone who has had the Tokico D-Specs before, I hated them, every minute of them. I still do and winter driving kind of "sucks" because of them. I had them paired with Steeda Sport springs and the car rode like ass and the D-Specs ran so much compression that I couldn't get to the rebound setting I wanted without having pissed away all the grip in that end of the car. You'd go to do something like say a slalom (quick direction changes) and when the weight took a "set" to the out side of the car it would just wash out and lose grip. It SUCKED. Paired with stock springs the ride is tolerable but my Coilovers (Koni based dampers) with 440lbs/in springs up front and 200 out back rides so much nicer. The D-Specs are just harsh.

Broke dafuk down
from what I was told Strange used to build stuff for Koni. Now they build and brand them as strange.. funny world. I can get a set of strange adjustables way less than Koni

My experience is a less intense version of that. They squeaked pretty horribly in the winter and sometimes the car was just never composed.

I find the Koni yellow's I have cant be adjusted quite as soft as the Tokicos, but they do keep the car more stable.
