I hear all the time about how good Rejex is for wheels. If they are both sealants, then why is one better on a the car and the other better on the wheels.

Rejex has a "thin, plasticy" shine...on black paint, at least.
Used it for about 3 years, and even hit the mustang with it last summer.

For protection and a finish that stuff won't stick too, never seen better than Rejex.

As for overall shine, I have seen better. I've never used BFWD, but I bet it shines better on paint. But for wheels, I'll sacrifice a little shine to keep the brake dust down.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look bad, but it ain't no 7 coats of Zaino either. I would compare Rejex to a Meguiars Gold Class type of shine.

Makes sense, so it's got the good protection and super slickness but just doesn't have the apperance factor of a show sealant like BFWD. Cool

By the way, don't waste your time and money putting 7 coats of Zanio on something. Layering is BS, anything past 2 coats for even coverage is a waste.

I'd still like to hear from someone who has tried both BFWD and Rejex on their wheels.

Back to the ArmorAll stuff but with painted, not chrome rims.... When my rims were still bright silver, I noticed a huge difference. Obviously it wasn't like their video, but I could go 2 weeks without getting any brake dust buildup, as opposed to just a few days when I didn't use it. (with hawk HPS pads, and lots of very spirited braking)

I haven't used it since I painted my rims bronze though. I barely even clean my rims at all because they're the same color as the brake dust that lands on 'em :p

Layering is a marketing myth used to promote over-usage or product.

I hear wheelwax is the way.

Did you ever get a chance to try out the "nano" stuff? It sounds so gimmicky to me but I'm interested.

Wheel Wax, or most traditional wheel sealants, does not hold a candle to Rejex, IMO.

Yes I've used nano sealants. They are definitely not 'gimmicky', they are game changers.

Rejex is the shit. Makes the surface super slick, nothing sticks to it, brake dust rinses right off. Good for boats and airplanes too. And keeping lovebugs from sticking.

I was blown away the first time I washed my wheels and the water ran like I had never seen. It was so hard to actually keep soap on the wheels as I washed them as it just ran right off.

Link to Rejex? Also, is it safe on matte wheels?

It's sold at most Napa stores, AutoGeek.net, I think DetailersDomain.com and even AutowerkesExclusive.com

I can't imagine it not being safe on them but do a small test spot before applying it to the whole wheel to be safe.

Is there any reason Rejex would work better than BFWD in your opinion? I was going to pick some up in the past, but from what I can tell it's just a good sealant, so I just use BFWD instead of having to have 2 different products that seem to be very similar.

If it's better for wheels, would it not be better for paint?

Yeah, I read all about it on their site before I even posted that. I'm asking Nasty since he's used both products first hand. I just wonder why most people consider BFWD to the the best sealant for a car but I hear all the time about how good Rejex is for wheels. If they are both sealants, then why is one better on a the car and the other better on the wheels.

Work better than BFWD for what? The wheels? .. the paint? I would choose BFWD for the paint and the Rejex for the wheels. It's just like a carnuba wax. Just because it's a carnuba wax doesn't mean it's going to be the same quality and have the same properties as the next carnuba, right?

BFWD has a better appearance, much less durability. Rejex has better durability, a slightly worse appearance IMO. There are tons of guys who love it on their car's paint though. So you just need to try it. I've used BFWD on wheels before and was very disappointed. It seemed like the protection was gone in maybe ~2 weeks.

Rejex isn't quite exactly like a traditional sealant in it's chemical make-up. The best way to describe it is think about it bridging the gap between 'traditional' sealants like BFWD and nano technology sealants like A.Quartz, etc.

I still have a ton of klasse sg so I'll stick to that.

Anyone know of bfwd is a carnauba? I'd like to use it on top of my klasse sealant.

No. Rejex just has different silicones and a different synthetic makeup than bfwd. Rejex is not a nano resin though. It will last a good while though

nope, its a synthetic sealant. It would pose bonding issues if you applied it over klasse.

That's a great way to put it. And I agree, I've never used Zaino or put more than two coats on to make sure I had full coverage. But, Rejex just doesn't have the "deep" shine.

This happened after I put a coat of Rejex on. Rinsed right off like it never happened. Though I could smell love bugs cooking in the radiator for a few weeks. :roflmao:

If you're not going to use a nano coating on your wheels the next best combo I've come across to repelling break dust is:

rejex on the wheels then maintained with FK # 425 QD.

I know, I just do it because I spend my time in the "man-cave" to unwind from the days events. LOL

The guys in the Harley Davidson forum I used to frequent swore by Rejex to keep their bikes clean. I never tried it even though I had a TON of coin tied up in mine.

Guess I'll get me some and give it a shot. Gonna head to NAPA to see if they have it.:thumb2:

What I did learn is this Armor All Wheel Protectant is HORRIBLE looking for chrome wheels. It may look better on non-chrome though.

That right there is reason to MOVE THE FUCK AWAY, or set up a flame thrower in front of the car to torch shit before it gets to the car.

Yeah, I was asking about why if the Rejex was better for wheels why was it not better for paint. Seems you feel the same way as mentioned above by Hatch. I'll have to pick some up and give it a try on my Black Mambas.

FK FTMFW!!!! I have so many bottles of different QD's in my Garage I'll probably never run out.

BUT, I will never buy anything but FK 425, ever again. EVER!!!

That stuff is pure gold

I use this too. Anybody ever use this stuff?

It works as a quick detailer and it outshines my Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale. Works well on my wheels too.
