I hear wheelwax is the way.
Did you ever get a chance to try out the "nano" stuff? It sounds so gimmicky to me but I'm interested.
Wheel Wax, or most traditional wheel sealants, does not hold a candle to Rejex, IMO.
Yes I've used nano sealants. They are definitely not 'gimmicky', they are game changers.
Rejex is the shit. Makes the surface super slick, nothing sticks to it, brake dust rinses right off. Good for boats and airplanes too. And keeping lovebugs from sticking.
I was blown away the first time I washed my wheels and the water ran like I had never seen. It was so hard to actually keep soap on the wheels as I washed them as it just ran right off.
Link to Rejex? Also, is it safe on matte wheels?
It's sold at most Napa stores, AutoGeek.net, I think DetailersDomain.com and even AutowerkesExclusive.com
I can't imagine it not being safe on them but do a small test spot before applying it to the whole wheel to be safe.
Is there any reason Rejex would work better than BFWD in your opinion? I was going to pick some up in the past, but from what I can tell it's just a good sealant, so I just use BFWD instead of having to have 2 different products that seem to be very similar.
If it's better for wheels, would it not be better for paint?
Yeah, I read all about it on their site before I even posted that. I'm asking Nasty since he's used both products first hand. I just wonder why most people consider BFWD to the the best sealant for a car but I hear all the time about how good Rejex is for wheels. If they are both sealants, then why is one better on a the car and the other better on the wheels.
Work better than BFWD for what? The wheels? .. the paint? I would choose BFWD for the paint and the Rejex for the wheels. It's just like a carnuba wax. Just because it's a carnuba wax doesn't mean it's going to be the same quality and have the same properties as the next carnuba, right?
BFWD has a better appearance, much less durability. Rejex has better durability, a slightly worse appearance IMO. There are tons of guys who love it on their car's paint though. So you just need to try it. I've used BFWD on wheels before and was very disappointed. It seemed like the protection was gone in maybe ~2 weeks.
Rejex isn't quite exactly like a traditional sealant in it's chemical make-up. The best way to describe it is think about it bridging the gap between 'traditional' sealants like BFWD and nano technology sealants like A.Quartz, etc.
