After hearing the great cars at Mustangweek, I think my Borla Atak's are too quiet at cruising. I wonder if I should remove the resonators?

That'll make a little bit of a difference, but may add rasp. The difference I noticed on my 11 with Borla S-Types by eliminating the resonators was minimal. Are you able to do an off-road H pipe?

If you have an offroad pipe and remove the resonators I guarantee rasp.

I have the procal tune. No offroad for me. It sounds great at acceleration.

The ford racing FR500S axle back was pretty loud with stock cats on mine, but I'm not sure they make a comparable one for 11-14

Ive heard a ton if roush setuos here at mw. Sound really good. I cant justify selling my ataks and switching to roushes though. I think from the cabin everything sounds quieter than it is.

Strengthrehab,

Tip the backseats down and go for a drive. I think you'll fall in love with the sound produced by the Ataks.

Ugh yea. They are axle backs, not cat back which would be under your ass. I told you inside cabin is different than out. Have someone drive by you. Trust me!

I wouldn't get rid of my Ataks...everyone I know here wants them so they must sound good. I've been offered trades for Corsa, Roush, Magnaflow Comps and Bassani and the only one I considered was the Corsa set up.

I still have my cats but I have a Dynatech 3" XPipe with side exits, and a Borla Atak Catback (so no resonators)...I'm just trying to find a set of LTs now that will fit with the Dynatech but also please my ears.
