I finished installing my BBK LT headers. They went in pretty easy and my hands only suffered a few small scratches. This morning I went to go install the shorty x pipe and it doesn't fit in anyway possible. The flanges don't cup they are the same diameter. The pipes don't quite line up either. My BMR driveshaft loop also won't fit because the O2 sensors are in the way.
I called BBK and found out they made a revision to the headers and x pipe. I apparently have the newer style header and the older style x pipe. You can identify the newer version headers because the flange is free moving and not welded on. The older x pipe cup flange is 3" in diameter and the new one is 3.5".
As for the driveshaft loop, I'm just going to plug the bungs. Does anyone know if the rear O2 sensors even need to be plugged in? Or will if have to plug them in and zap strap them out of the way. The x pipe is an o/r pipe and I have an updated tune so they should be shut off.
Mods if this isn't considered tech please move it. I just thought it might help someone who gets in the same situation as me.
