^ I'd like to know this as well. How much weight did you get out of the stock doors?

How much weight did that save you, and are the windows stationary now or still able to roll down?

I want to cut weight but it would be nice to have power windows to roll them down on hot days while waiting in the lanes

Just open the door. :nk:

Yeah I just made two aluminum brackets that hold the stock window in place. There are no internals to the door at all, all cut out, including the crash bars. I left enough of the inside of the door where the interior door panel mounts, as I still use those. But I wanted to use the stock glass as the Lexan took away the stock-like factory look I was going for.

I did research on Lexan windows and it looks to be about a 60lb savings for the windshield, back window, and driver/passenger windows. About $1k for speed glass. Not enough of a difference for me for $1K plus having Lexan vs the stock glass.

Hard to open the passenger door when all strapped in, :boohoo: I know

I'm quickly going broke so any "free" weight reduction would be nice, I guess I need to decide if I'm ready to take that leap of gutting my stock doors.

seemed to do pretty good, 1.40 60

we hit as low as 1.39's last year, that was with the 3.55 gear, has a 3.31 now

With that much power I would think you could hit mid 1.3Xs easily. I guess the 3900lbs doesn't help any.

How did the converter seem to hold up? Did I recall you mentioned that it might not be locking up fully with the new power when you hard the car on the dyno?

Hardcore man, hardcore. We drove straight through from Tenn to CA once, but we had two drivers to switch off. Still tired regardless as it was 43 hours i think including stopping for meals and gas. AND-- i didnt have to work the next day, let alone 2 hours after getting back.
