a HUGE Thanks to a great friend in Dave (Stkjock) I was able to pick up a set of slightly used (15 total passes) Bogarts for track use for a whopping $550 with tires and 2 sets of Lugnuts. The tires barely have any use on em which is a plus for sure.

They have MT ET Drag 28x10.5x15 in the rear and MT ET Front 26x4.5x15. That being said. I always thought you should have the same diameter tire, frotn and rear. Is this not the case? Should I look into changing the front tires to be a 28" diameter tire?

Sweet deal Ron. I don't think it would really make a difference as long as both front and both rear tires are the same size.

nowhere did i say i was selling them. and if i were concerned wit hthe looks of them i wouldn't have taken them. function over form. All I want to know is if its standard practice to have 2 different diameters for race applications or if its safer to have all 4 the same diameter

It will not matter what size tire's are on the front or rear....

A lot of guys change tire size in the front to roll the beams more or less....

Little isn't a word I'd use to describe Ron. Maybe "fat," or "tall," or "land wale," but probably not little.:chainsaw:

those all may be true but let me dredge up the memory of me violating your car

Hmm, I just giggle every time I think of what I did to the drivers seat of your car. I was smart enough to not take pictures though, no proof that way.

Ron your welcome, I didnt want to go thru the effort of setting up the longer studs and re-location brackets!

looking forward to some good ETs from you in the spring.

Mostly it is related to the rollout at the starting line. A taller tire (larger diameter) will take a little longer to trip the beams. So it really depends on how you stage and what kind of tree you usually run, as well as how quick your car will react on the hit of the throttle. Someone running NA on a pro tree might like a short tire to help the reaction times. I run a taller tire because my car hits fairly hard, and I typically run on a sportsman tree.

Whatever way you go, you can still adjust how you stage and when you leave to dial in RTs also.
